Importing Contest Logs from Ham Radio Delux

mupangam@...

Good evening,
I took part in last weekends ARRL SSB DX Contest (as a DX station) and (unwisely it turns out) logged my QSO’s in Ham Radio Delux.

I assumed that it would be a straight-forward matter to export the contest logs from HRD in Cabrillo format, and thereafter submit them for o the ARRL online portal, as a Cabrillo file.

Alas, I have had a torrid time as I am failing to export from HRD to a Cabrillo file, with the correct field, in the correct order.

I have bought N3FJP in the hope that I can export the contest ADI log file from HRD and import it directly into N3FJP and then export it out of N3FJP as a Cabrillo file, for online input on the ARRL Contest Portal.

I have been a bit long-winded, but time is running out and I am becoming desperate 😅😨.

So, in short, is it possible to import an ADI file from HRD and export a corresponding ARRL DX Contest compatible Cabrillo file from N3FJP?

And, if so, how can I do this?

Thanks in advance for any advise/help.

Regards,
Mupanga (9J2MM)

Thanks Rick, I've just added an additional sub menu item that also loads the configuration form, to hopefully clarify that.

Thanks again!

I know you responded to this, but it is definitely confusing.
Hover over 'Edit Fields Displayed, Position and Tab Order...'  and you get only one option:  a box with 'load configuration'.
It is not obvious that what is needed is a click on the 'Edit Fields...' text, and not on the 'load configuration' text.

Re: ic 7300 with new firmware update

Have you checked the N#FJP for info.  I found this for your rig:

Icom 7300
Rig Name = Icom
Read Frequency Command = FE FE 94 E0 03 FD
Read Mode Command = FE FE 94 E0 04 FD
Convert To Hex = True
Baud Rate = 9600 (one user reported 56000, another reported 4800, but most reports have been 9600.)
Parity = None
Stop Bits = 1
Data Bits = 8
Power Option = None
Rob, KD9INB reports: "Had to turn the connection power to "Off" in the software setting AND also in the rig, and also had to set the CI-V port in the rig from"Unlinked" to "Linked". Made sure the baud rate setting in the rig and software matched and viola! Works like a charm now."

Hope this helps.

Hi Rino,

Thanks for your e-mail. Either click the blue Time On label above the entry field or simply clear the existing Time On value and press Enter to update to the current time.

Be well and enjoy!

Maybe it' there but I did not find it, say I type N3FJP in the call box(or click on the dx page to get the call sign)
then I get all the information available, but for some reason, pile up etc... it take 5 minute before I can get N3FJP
when I log the contact
instead of changing the time in the time on box, before logging the contact, a little box inside the time box could be checked to log
the contact using the computer time at this moment instead of the time that was there when I look at
the information 5 minute ago.

Scott,

Went directly from the original 6.8 to 6.8.6.

Going into the Edit Fields option the only thing there is Load. Checked the box to Enable positioning and get the option to save. Saved. When going to Load, there is no EFL file in the AClog directory. Tried creating another of the same configuration with a different name, figuring that maybe if there is only one, it is treated as a default. Still no EFL file.

What did I miss?

work the very best here, I didn't have to but I created a log for dx marathon with the same configuration as my main log. So I can work station I need
for the cq dx marathon with the dx spot page telling me if I need them, then load the adif to my main log , I don't need to do this,
but it was fun to try.

Hi Scott.

When I click the settings tab the only thing that pops out is the "load configuration" tab. When I click it I'm taken to the installed ACLog folder, looking for an EFL file, but the folder is empty. Did I miss something?

Scott if I want to customize a new log for cqdx marathon as an example, should I start a new log with a new database file ? since we can
have many configurations, POTA, IOTA, etc... It would be nice to have the name that goes with the log at the top, above search,,,award,,,elog, etc,,
in big letter and if possible in colour.
