I use FLdigi and AClog or the contest logs and have no problem. Use rig control from AClog. You don't need FLrig. I've never used it. Like N3FM said, that may be the problem.

I think the conflict may be between FlRig and ACL. Did you try using just Fldigi and ACL?

I connected FLDIGI through the API in the Winter Field Day Log and I thought the rig control worked fine for my rig. The problems I had were not to do with the operation of rig control.

AClog and another program cannot both access the CAT port at the same time.  You'll need to disable rig control in AClog while you use fldigi and wsjt-x.

I can't seem to get N3FJP programs to work with FLdigi and AClog or CQWPX with my ICOM 7300.  Ether FLdigi or the N3FJP programs work alone.  I also can't get WSJT-X to work with the logging programs.

My setup with a TS-440s and Hermes SDR never had a problem and worked well with all the many N3FjP programs I used over the years.

Starting a logging program first and setting up the API to Enable Server on port 1100 and then starting FLrig and FLdigi causes port 6 on my PC to disappear.  Port 6 is the USB port for the IC7300.  The FLrig and FLdigi setups are according to what is recommended on the IC7300 settings on Source Forge.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  I have spent a lot of time and tried many things, but the result is always that it doesn't work.  Is there something about Windows 10 I should know?  I recently upgraded from Windows 7 so I could run my tax program.

Scott,

It worked, sort of.  The program asked me if I wanted to set the dimensions to my MAIN monitor.  I said yes.  The main monitor is the 4x3 so it set the size of the program to the main monitor.  I was able to drag it over to the 16x9 monitor and resize it.  When I tried to change the settings, it asked me if I wanted to set the dimensions to the main monitor.  I said yes, and it shrunk the display to match the 4x3 screen.

It looks like I could make the changes with the program set to the 4x3 monitor settings, and then resize it to the 16x9 settings?  Or, I guess I could temporarily make the 16x9 monitor the primary?  However, in a perfect world, the program would let me set the dimensions to either of the two monitors.

I know, "high maintenance!"

I am trying to load some new contest logs and I am getting a message: Unable to access data folder: I can load logs for contests previously downloaded, but not any that have just been downloaded.and installed.

The installation default file is
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\N3FJP Software - Affirmatech\<Contest name>

The file it is looking for, however, is:
C:\users\<User Name>\OneDrive\Documents\Affirmatech\N3FJP Software\<Contest Name>

The message says to "give this software proper permissions in your protection program...." I have tried various ways of controlling access to the folder without luck.

What might I be doing wrong with the installation (I accept all defaults) or where and how do I give the necessary permissions?

Scott,

Both machines run a 4x3 monitor as the primary (left) and a 16x9 monitor as the extended (right).  When the program starts, it typically is spread across both monitors.  I've tried the edit procedure when the program first starts and is spread across both monitors, and when it's full screen on the either of the other monitors.  The resolution of the two monitors is obviously different.  I normally run the program on the larger 16x9 monitor.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I am sorry that you have run into trouble.  It's very odd that this code has been around for years and only recently there have been a few problem reports.

Is it possible that your primary screen dimensions are different than the screen on which you are customizing AC Log?

I am a new user and am having the same problem on two identical desktop machines running Win 7.  The initial installs were 6.7, but I just upgraded one of the machines to 6.8 and have the exact same behavior.  I have followed all of the steps listed in this thread, but no joy.  I like the program, but this has gotten me off to a bit of a rocky start.

I click on Settings, Edit Fields, get the message about setting the form size to 100%, click yes, restart, repeat the procedure and go right back to the Set form size to 100% message.  It's an endless loop.

I am retired, but did IT and computer support, so computers and their misbehaviour are not strange to me.  I am wide open for a suggestion, or for someone to point out to me that I've made a dumb newbie mistake.

Thanks,
Rick, KN3C

Unable to Access Data Folder

Stan K4SBZ

Stan, K4SBZ

Re: ACLog and Logging K1USN SST QSOs

Hi Patrick,

Look for and use Scott's CWOPS CWT contest logger for the K1USN SST.  It is the same report, same scoring, same everything; except that you will not create the cabrillo to report your results.  Just look in the scoring box for your scores, log onto https://www.3830scores.com/ and enter your scores.

the CWOPS CWT contest is found at  http://www.n3fjp.com/cwopscwt.html - - under contest logs menu item then "other".  I just finished the SST.  My CW speed is slow.  But I use an actual paddle and not a keyer and computer to read the CW.  Hope to work you someday.
