Hi Bob,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Yes, you are correct, a new QSO record will initiate the backup on exit.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Question on How Backup Upon Exit works

Greetings all,

Ever since Scott cautioned about a month ago that we setup recurring backups I have backups going to external media upon exit. Seems to work as expected. But this morning that did not happen. On was on this morning. There were no new contacts [ :-( ], however there was activity downloaded from both LoTW and eQSL. I happened to take a look at my backup folder and there was no backup. I tried this two more times with the same result. There were backups for yesterday's activity. I doublechecked the setting that the backup was still pointing to the external media.

Would I be correct to assume that ACLog only performs a backup if there is a new line item contact? I wouldn't have thought so.

Thanks much, Bob

Re: Error Retrieving Web Data

Scott Davis

Hi W5DTX,

Thanks for your e-mail.  That error message typically occurs when you are able to access the server okay, but it is unable to process your request.

The LoTW server has been overwhelmed by the backlog generated by the last two contests, both in processing uploads and delivering subsequent downloads (and we have another contest this weekend, too).  I just tried a download early this morning here.  While the LoTW server was slower to respond than usual, I did finally receive the download, so give it another try at an off peak time.

Enjoy!

Have been getting this error since the contest trying to run any confirm query or download from LOTW.  There is no issue uploading to LOTW, and all of my latest QSOs are there.  Other topics were stating issues with the server queue had a big backlog.  According to the queue there is no longer a backlog and I am still getting this error.  It also states 'The remote server returned an error: 503 Server Unavailable'.  Is there an issue here with LOTW?

Soon I will be upgrading from Win7 to Win10 and also adding a new SSD. My question is when I attempt to download the  N3FJP log program will I be asked to purchase again or is there a way to go about this when replacing OS and HD?

Can you use the WinKeyer3 USB with the ARRL 10M contest logging program. I have it working with the regular ACLog OK
but it does not seem to work with the 10M contest one.

It shows how many 4 and 6 number grids worked.

It does not have how many not worked.

But what about the setup screen with your call etc.  How do you have separate ones as I don't believe that is stored in the DB.
