Thanks so much for the good report Patrick!

It appears, to fully support the FT Roundup using my ARRL RTTY Roundup software, I only have to add an option on the Cabrillo form for the FT Roundup contest name.  Unless I have missed something, after rereading the rules, all other scoring appears to be identical.

Thanks again!

Despite my only having registered for N3FJP just a few days prior to the contest, I had an easy time submitting my contest log from the contest program.

I redirected JTALERT to point to to the RTTY-RU's new database, and all data flowed smoothly (and afterwards when redirected back to AcLog).

The only error during Cabrillo file submission was the contest name, which their robot corrected for me.

The contest software was very easy to use, and the Dupes feature was especially helpful.

Hello
Several months ago my computer crashed and died. I did have all of the QSO data save.
I download the latest version of TQSL.
I requested a new LOTW certificate, it is installed and all appears correct concerning the certificate (I have the gold ribbon).
I used the N3FJP LOTW function to upload all contacts " not uploaded". I received the message for 0 when has always meant no issues.
I went to the LOTW website to look at All QSOS but there is nothing new uploaded. I uploaded them last night so there has been about 8 hours to process.
I went through the help file and followed the instructions.
Any ideas?

Re: FT Roundup and ARRL RTTY Roundup

After the contest,  I imported the adi log from WSJT into ARRL RTTY log.

Created the Cabrillo file,  used notepad to edit contest name,  changed to "FT8-RU",  and submitted the file.

It was accepted with no issues.

I chose not to manipulate JTAlert to feed the contest program directly.
Last time I did that, it took a week to get everything 'back to normal'.

So,  I ran with ACL and JTAlert as normal,   and then did the import into the contest program to create the Cabrillo.    All the Qs were already in ACL.

For me,  way less time involved,   AND,   it worked great ! ! !

Re: LOTW Not Receiving QSO Upload

Mike Olbrisch

Good morning Paul.

The golden ribbon indicates that you have a valid certificate.  So that part sounds OK.  I personally have never used the “ALL CONTACTS NOT UPLOADED” function.  This is because I have at least ½-dozen certificates and something close to 100 portable locations saved, and I always fear it is possible to select the wrong stuff.  I select the QSOs by clicking on the ones I want to upload (either control-click or shift click) and then select the location for the upload.

You say you waited 8 hours and you still did not see your QSOs.  Have you checked since then?  Over the past few days the Log Processing Que has been anything from about 10+ hours to approaching 14 hours to get your log input processed.  BTW, you can see the LoTW process back-log by having a look here, the top line is the latest update, but you can see the last 12 hours there:

http://www.arrl.org/logbook-queue-status

The one thing you do not want to do is to reload your log input.  Looking at the Que status right now, if you uploaded 8 hours ago you still have another 5 hours to wait before your log shows up.  If you re-upload now, the file that was previously input is over-written and you begin at the bottom again, another 13 hours.

Just as an op-note, after any contest and especially after any major contest, there is a huge back-up of logs waiting to be processed.  If you think 14 hours is a lot, wait until Field Day!

Check again, and report back what you find.  Best of luck sir…

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I've received good reports from others on using ARRL RTTY RU for the FT8 RU contest.  Keep in mind that multipliers are scored differently, but their robot will rescore your log.

To enter your QSOs after the fact in RTTY RU, click Settings > Post Contest Mode.  More details are here:

Does the ARRL RTTY Roundup contest program work for the FT Roundup contest concluded this weekend??

I used my ACL program (great by the way...) and now have the contest log on a separate file for the FT Roundup contest and if ARRL RTTY works for the contest (it  looks like it does) I'll down;load it and try to convert my file into it so that the math can be do and a cabrillo provided.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I understand LoTW had a significant backlog and then went down for a time.  Once LoTW is back up and has processed your QSOs, you will see them on line and be able to download them from AC Log, so that they are then marked as sent.

Enjoy!

Bob,

For RTTY contesting I use NY7G digital engine. The FT combo I use is WSJT-X and JTAlert.

There is a learning curve on interfacing them, so I would suggest you start here:

Hope this helps.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the heads up on setting up JTALERT correctly (that is what I use); I've followed Laurie's instructions closely, but the problem persists; however, in WSJT-X, I'm currently stuck with starting with TX2 (can't figure out how to revert to starting QSOs with TX1) - this is the one setting that Laurie mentioned needed to be correct (on TX1), and may be the culprit. If someone can tell me how to revert to TX1, it's be much appreciated.

Other than the TX1 issue, is there anything else that I should look at?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Patrick Hung
