Dear group,

Dear Group,

we can't ask the person who installed the software what it was.    My friend has been blaming ARRL TSQL LOTW.  But after some time I am not sure that PASSCODE/PASS PHRASE is part of the LOTW SETUP but MAYBE a ACLOG function.

So this is why I am asking this question.   I am trying to understand the interconnect between these two systems so I can intelligently trouble shoot their interconnect.

Information about this Passcode /passphrase interface would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jim Shorney for your message.
The sequence that works is
Dec 2

Alt-F, E, E

There are actually two entries in the File list that are triggered  by the E.
unfortunately Exit is the 2nd one in the list.

I would respectfully ask if this can  be changed so you only have to hit E once.
At least in my use I Exit more often than Export ADIF.

I really like JTAlert and hope I can figure out how to make it work. de Laurie VK3AMA has been very helpful in trying to get it to work.
JTAlert is really an amazing program that has some wonderful features. I have used it for several years on my old computer, but when I upgraded to a new computer something didn't quite go right. I am still hopeful we can get it working again. If not, it is nice to know there are some options.

Thanks for your e-mail.  Yes, in addition to JTAlert by Laurie, VK3AMA and WSJT-X to N3FJP by Dave Slotter, W3DJS  (the referenced Python script), a third option is Grid Tracker (gridtracker.org).

Yes, there is a Python Script that when the Log Box opens and you click Log, the script will grab the info, format it for the ACLog and send it to ACLog, where it will appear. The script will then reset itself and wait for the next time you click Log on the Log Popup box.

Is there a way to have the Comment block come up when you press the "Spot Last" Button, so you can enter a comment or is that only possible in the Ctrl-D form? Also how long do you normal wait before your spot shows in the listing on the Logger?

Hi JoAnn,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Spot Last sends the last QSO to the telnet service you are connected to.  You may or may not see your spot appear in the DX Spots list, depending on your filtering in AC Log and / or your filtering on the telnet site.  Also, some telnet sites require verification before allowing the posting of DX sites, so that is an additional possibility you should investigate.

FYI, That's is not a JTAlert problem. ACLog is setting the mode to SSB and RST to 59. JTAlert doesn't set the mode or rst of ACLog. The only time it sets the mode and rst is when it logs a QSO and that WILL NEVER be SSB, only the mode set in WSJT-X. ACLog is making the decision to set the mode and rst incorrectly
