I am using ur log book for FLDIGI. Uploading just fine. Why am I getting a "B" in the qsl sent rather than a "L"
I go to LOTW section and it tells me I have already sent the qso.
I have both EQSL and LOTW in auto upload.
Thanks

Re: Prep for Nov Sweepstakes

Deni,

Scott makes each contest program meet the requirements for that contest. Contest exchanges are built in and contacts are logged with the required info. After the contest, you can create your Cabrillo file for submission and then export your contest QSOs into AClog.

The SS log is here:

http://n3fjp.com/novsweeps.html

I highly recommend taking a look at the entire suite of programs. Each one built for a specific contest with no frills or complex configuration.

Hope this helps.

Thank you to Dave wo2x!!!! Who called me and helped me out using a TeamViewer troubleshooting session. Always good to have a second pair of eyes when you get stuck. And he found the issue quickly. Thank you kindly Dave! Turned out since I was operating remote the data packets between ACLog and Flex Radio API were not being passed though the home router, as the router was blocking and not forwarding this port. I now have at at least two solutions. 1) port forward 12061 in home router and/or have a local PC running that would serve to feed Flex API with Spots locally. Thanks again Dave for helping understand what the issue was and suggesting work arounds. I hope this information helps someone in the future if they have a similar scenario. The SPOTS were all working for me for about a year when my SSDR client was local and directly connected to the radio through a switch and thus the SPOT data packets were passing successfully from ACLog to Flex Radio Panadapter. When I moved the SSDR client remote, as I didn't think about how that may affect the ACLog to Flex Radio interaction. Dave didn't have to take the time out and kindly lend a hand to this old man but he did and I am grateful. Thank you, dan WA1QZX

Re: FILE/OPEN Command

Scott Davis

Hi Ray,

Thanks for your e-mail.  When you click File > Open, only files with a .mdb extension are displayed by default, so make sure you are clicking the proper file command.

If you are sure you are, it sounds like you are signing on to Windows with a different User profile than you were using previously, where your log files reside.  More details on that are here:

Evening,

I have several different callsigns associated with my N3FJP AC LOG program (my current and original callsigns; my wife's present and original callsigns; club callsign). I have always used the "file/open" command to access these different files when necessary.  Now, however, when I execute the command rather than seeing a list of the log files I see a list of computer files -- not log files.

Help!

Baud Rate = 4800
Parity = None
Stop Bits = 2
Data Bits = 8

Re: DX Spotting Help

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm sorry that you've run into trouble.  First, check to see that you are properly signed into the telnet host and it is functioning properly (you are seeing spots on the set up form).  If not, this FAQ will get you going:

http://www.n3fjp.com/faq.html#q95

If you are seeing spots on the set up form, but not the main form, click the More Filtering button and correct your filter settings.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] DX Spotting Help

I just recently registered N2FJP. I set up DX spotting and it was working great.
I closed the program and the band map is not populating, neither is the lower dx spotting list.
I verified that dxspotting is enabled and it was. I reset all the preferences and it continues to not populate.
In the dx spotting settings menu i see the spots coming in but it just isn't being populated. Even the Large DX spotting form is empty.

Thank

Daniel, try pulling the power on your pc and plugging the power cord back in.  Had a similar problem the other day with a com port and the DX spotting.  Pulled the power cord on the pc, put it back in, and everything worked.  I know, sounds weird.  Try it.

I always save my contest logs using a file name appropriate for that contest, but in the future I will exit the contest log program before starting a new log.

Re: Oops

Scott Davis

Hi David,

Thanks for your follow up.  Okay, I'm relieved that you were using a relatively current version of AC Log, not a 2005 version.  :)

First, make sure that you are signing on to Windows with the same Windows user profile that you used to use, before you got distracted.  More details on that are here:

http://www.n3fjp.com/faq.html#q48

If you still can't find your log file, you can restore from backup (or you LoTW upload) as detailed here:

Enjoy!

Re: Copying the .mdb file when ACLog is operating

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your e-mail.  In addition to the backup on close option built into AC Log, I don't know of any reason you could not copy the log as frequently as you like as well.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Copying the .mdb file when ACLog is operating

I'd like to make a copy of the log file every 'x' minutes while operating out at the park. I'd hate to lose a couple of hundred QSOs if my laptop chose the worst possible moment to die.

Your documents say that the file should be fine if the computer reboots while ACLog is running. Is it fair to say that if I were to copy the .mdb file to removable media while ACLog is running, that copy will likely be usable? I realize that if I copy in the middle of a write the copy will probably be corrupt. In that case I'd have to go back to a prior copy.

Is there a better way to get 'real time' backups of the log file, and not wait for the program to be closed?

Thanks,
Rick WØYGH
