Thanks Scott, no solution found. When I turn on the program, #43 and all it's information are displayed in green. Moving to any other line will give all the information with blue highlight. Under that line are displayed 6 boxes. I only hit clear to back out. Rick

Re: Where does ACLog get the state for County_Sent when it exports an ADIF?

Rick Hall

John,
It turns out that the ADIF_County program works with the county for the QSO partner and not the county where the rover was operating.   I communicated with Jim, and he will be looking at the new My_Cnty functionality in TQSL.   So I ended up manually adding My_Cnty tags to the files using Notepad.  Took less than a minute each for the 26 county files.

Re: lOST MY WHOLE LOG TODAY

Lester Shields

I use a different log, however my approach should work for most. The PC has an external drive. The logger makes a backup copy of the log file to the external drive at least daily. It also makes a backup copy on another pc on my network. That PC has an external drive that my C drive is backed up to daily, with backups going back a  month. Finally, I upload my log to LOTW and eQSL periodically.

Re: Where does ACLog get the state for County_Sent when it exports an ADIF?

John Huber

Rick / K5GZR,

For N1MM+ logs with counties in them, I process the ADIF file with AD1C's ADIF County Conversion utility BEFORE I import into ACLog.  Check out the conversion program at http://software.ad1c.us/ADIF_County/ .  It may save you a LOT of work.

You probably recognize AD1C as the provider of the country files used by many logging programs, including ACLog.

Re: lOST MY WHOLE LOG TODAY

Robert Hoffman

I have my log directory mirrored to the cloud and every time anything changes in my log or settings the change is made in the cloud copy as well. Further, each time the program is closed, the log is saved to a different location in the cloud. Also, once each month I make a copy of my home directory, which includes the log file, to a thumb drive I keep in my fireproof safe.

It's also on LoTW, automatically updated. I would have to try really hard to lose my log.

Scott's builtin backup options make this easy, as long as you don't have your backup on the same drive and when that drive goes, you're sunk.  :)
