Re: MULTIPLE LOGS

I was thinking of one account to deal with all your manager work. Of course you would be using a different log file for each call, which is what you would be doing anyway. But your home configuration under your main account would remain unchanged.

Hi there

I am a potential new user and established QSL manager.  I have been
searching for an alternative to the Win-EQFlogging program that I have
been using for over 25 years but which is no lomnger supported and does
not work well under Windows 10.

I have downloaded and installed a trial version of AClog and at first
sight, it seems to meet my requirements but I am not sure if I can
import more than one ADI file.  I have something approaching 150
different log files for various DX callsigns that I need to be able to
import and manage independently.

Can this be achieved please?

DX Spotting Stops

Mel - N7GCO - Cheney, WA

I love the spotting feature of Scott's programs, but I must have some setting wrong and would appreciate it if someone could give me a clue where to look. I launch the spotting program and it works great and then it quits showing new spots. I have cleared both Scott's programs and port 30 to pass everything through the firewall. If I turn the Spotting program off and then back on it shows new spots, but then a few minutes later it quits updating.

Which log do we use for the WW Digi DX Contest

Mel - N7GCO - Cheney, WA

I was wondering which N3FJP log to use for the World Wide Digi coming up August 29-30?

Re: MULTIPLE LOGS

Thanks Scott

I'll take that as a "no" then. :-)  In my experience, defaulting to the last used log leads to far too many errors of new QSOs being entered in the wrong log, which is why I prefer a nominated default.

Also, in view of K7GA's and your comments about the inability of the program to print batches of QSL labels, I'm beginning to think that your program is not for me.  However, I will continue to evaluate it for the time being.
Also I might like to say that I am very confused by the logging. Looking at rewards I only have 5 states to go for WAS, however I have worked those 5 many times.
Until the other station confirms the contact, it won't show in your awards count.  Also, for WAS it must be confirmed via LOTW or paper QSL Card or ARRL won't accept it.  I don't know if the logic in ACL makes that differentiation.

Have recently been using the label printing feature for QSO info when sending paper QSL cards. If I select one specific callsign I have the option of printing multiple Q’s with that station on just one label.

However, If I pick multiple stations to print their Q’s, I do not have the option of printing multiple Q’s of one station on one label. It only prints multiple labels for that one station.
Would it be possible for you to include  the “print all “Q’s on one label” feature if I load multiple stations as well as just one station?

Scott,

If I may.

Having a configuration selected by name from the command line might be another option.   This would allow you to start with the ACL database and then over time add other parameters.

I am running multiple rigs and configurations — to select each configuration in ACL requires a lot of mouse clicks and data entry.

Currently I am using two separate machines.  I am considering multiple virtual machines to accomplish this — each with there own instance of ACL in a different configuration.

Thanks for the consideration.

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] QSL printing

Scott,
long time user of your various  logs - still most happy with looking at the screen and seeing what closely resembles the old paper log sheets of bygone days,
as well as all the great features.
