Hi Wilbur,

Thanks for your follow up.  I would love to offer something else to try, but I am completely out of ideas here.  I'm very sorry I don't have more to suggest.  Please let us know if any other clues come to light.

Hi Wilbur,

Thanks for your follow up.  I'm sorry that you are still having trouble.  I wish I had something insightful to suggest, but the only other related setting to try would be to click Settings > Appearance Form Size and enter 100.  I have my doubts that will have an affect, but it is the only other thing that comes to mind.

I hope that this helps!

All,

I finished this weekend's ARRL IARU contest with a handful of "HQ" stations near the end. Later I noticed that the points for the "HQ" stations contacted only reflect 1 point (in most cases) as if it was mistakenly considered a non DX contact.

It seems that the log entries that have correct points (example Rec 57 above) were the ones where I actually entered/saved the contact first with the default ITU number (by mistake). Then, I corrected the entry with the initials that the HQ station gave (Rec 57 ITUz corrected to "EDR" after it was saved as ITUz 18).  Else, I entered most HQ stations with the initials given for ITUz (which then incorrectly assigned only one point)...

Question: Bug? Feature? and Do I just submit, knowing my Score Statistics are incorrect, but it will be calculated correctly apon UL/processing by ARRL...(?)

Should my work-around be to enter/save with default ITUz and go back (in real time) correct all these?  - If my understanding is off on this, enlighten please.

Thank you Scott and all for the software!

I'm fairly new to this particular contest, it was a surprise to be able to contact more HQ stations (than last year) w/o crazy pileup...

PS - 5 days left to submit logs...

Thanks!

Looks like the software was just talking back to me and was not generated elsewhere.  I was doing s&p when it happened, and my “hot key” for my report and the ! are right next to each other.  Easily could have hit both.  No problem.  It all came out in the wash!

1.  When you entered the QSO, you very quickly double tapped the enter key.  If that is the case, all is well.

I got this message in a previous contest and did not think anything much about it.  Got it one or two times in IARU.

Paraphrasing:

“I am still working on previous entry, please try again”

This pops up when logging the qso.

???

I just kept trucking as there were other stations calling and did not want to waste time on a duplicate contact.

Other than that, everything worked flawless as expected.  Thanks for great programs!

You were correct Scott, when I went back over my log I found one IARU contact with 5 points (changed it to 1) and three others that were 5 but should have been 3 points. When I corrected these the program agrees with the ARRL numbers.

Thanks for your follow up.  I'm sorry that you are still having trouble.  The rig interface code in all my software is identical and everything has been working fine here all day.  From a working contest program, while polling your rig, click the Save Settings button under the rig list at the lower left.  Start the IARU software and click the load settings button.  That should do the trick.

If that does not correct the problem, please let us know what rig you are interfacing and send a long a screen shot of your settings.
