Hi Art,
Thanks for your e-mail. Responses are inserted:
1. Is there a way to increase the size of the "bearing" and "miles" fonts fo those features?
** Yes: Settings > Appearance > Colors and fonts (make sure you are running a current version of AC Log).
2. Is there a way to increase the size and change the color of the LOG CONTACT button?
** Sorry, no.
3. The COUNTY field does not automatically populate from QRZ. Is that normal or is there a way to to turn that on? Thank you!
** All data that arrives from QRZ is added. Make sure you only have one data source enabled.

Re: Log Message
Scott Davis
Hi Dale,
Thanks for your e-mail. Typically it takes less than 100 milliseconds for your log file to be updated. There are two reasons you might see that error.
1. When you entered the QSO, you very quickly double tapped the enter key. If that is the case, all is well.
2. Something unusual is causing a delay in entry such as a hardware / network delay, or Internet protection software delaying the entry of the previous QSO.
I hope that this helps.

Re: IARU HF contest
Scott Davis
Hi Al,
Thanks for your e-mail. IARU stations are one point, but if you originally entered them with the numerical zone, then the raw score had 5 points assigned (QSO points are assigned on entry). If you then edited the QSO for the alphabetic identifier, but did not edit the points, that would be the most likely cause.

I finished this weekend's ARRL IARU contest with a handful of "HQ" stations near the end. Later I noticed that the points for the "HQ" stations contacted only reflect 1 point (in most cases) as if it was mistakenly considered a non DX contact.
It seems that the log entries that have correct points (example Rec 57 above) were the ones where I actually entered/saved the contact first with the default ITU number (by mistake). Then, I corrected the entry with the initials that the HQ station gave (Rec 57 ITUz corrected to "EDR" after it was saved as ITUz 18). Else, I entered most HQ stations with the initials given for ITUz (which then incorrectly assigned only one point)...
Question: Bug? Feature? and Do I just submit, knowing my Score Statistics are incorrect, but it will be calculated correctly apon UL/processing by ARRL...(?)
Should my work-around be to enter/save with default ITUz and go back (in real time) correct all these? - If my understanding is off on this, enlighten please.
Thank you Scott and all for the software!
I'm fairly new to this particular contest, it was a surprise to be able to contact more HQ stations (than last year) w/o crazy pileup...
PS - 5 days left to submit logs...
