Grid for a contact in LOTW

vhfer2001 <n7au@...>

Been through all the FRQ in N3FJP but unless I missed it don't find
anything.

Can anyone send me to the right place to have my grid show up in LOTW? My
long and lat are listed in N3FJP. My grid is listed under station
Properties in TQSL (Yes it is updated to the new one) but when I do an up
load to LOTW my grid does not show up under the contact I made with the
other station The contact is confirmed but doesn't show my grid sq. Theirs
is there but not mine.

Thank You
Bob

Not making much progress on this end, I will have to reread the material, so far no luck getting N3FJP to work with logging, JT Alert works just fine. I guess JT Alert is my logging program for Field Day 🗳😞

Hi Scott, so explain to me in simple terms what this software is going to do for me as compared to JT Alert which i use now. Looks like my contacts will not be auto logged using your software, I would have to manually enter the contacts. I plan on using FT8 for field day, so JT alert logs automatically and creates an ADI file.

What advantage do I gain from using your software unless doing SSB Phone?

Thanks,

Scott, tried some of the setting for Yaesu listed, got it to talk to the 991, however, now when i go back to WSJTX I have lost the com port i am using for the new software. I then unplug the usb cable from the computer, plug in back in, WSJTX is now working again, no problem. Now the new software says access denied to the port (same one that i set up originally) which is the same as the WSJTX.

My next question, i am a little bit confused on how this software will work for me using WSJTX, along with JT Alert that does my logging and also having to manually log my contacts on n3JFP too. Am I missing something here?

Can't seem to get the FT-991 to talk to the N3FJP Field day software. This is my first set--up using this software so a little new at this. I have no problem running WSJTx with rig control, but no luck with the new software. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Norm,

Thanks for your follow up.  If you configure my Field Day software with your digital programs as detailed in the following link, as you log the QSO in the digital software, it will be immediately logged in my software.  So, you will not need to transfer via ADIF, you will have immediate dupe checking, etc.

Enjoy Field Day!

Thanks,

Norm

Scott, tried some of the setting for Yaesu listed, got it to talk to the 991, however, now when i go back to WSJTX I have lost the com port i am using for the new software. I then unplug the usb cable from the computer, plug in back in, WSJTX is now working again, no problem. Now the new software says access denied to the port (same one that i set up originally) which is the same as the WSJTX.

My next question, i am a little bit confused on how this software will work for me using WSJTX, along with JT Alert that does my logging and also having to manually log my contacts on n3JFP too. Am I missing something here?

API, file sharing & dumb idea

Bo W4GHV

I set up a FT8 and a SSB/CW rig and worked on the API settings for a hour. Antivirus setting changes, etc didn't help. I gave up.
Then I switched to file sharing method and it works (with a 10 second delay)

THEN I realized there was NO NEED to network them together!

The FT8 contacts won't be 'dupes' with the SSB/CWs
Not the brightest candle in the room today!

Anyone have an estimate of the activity by mode?
If the SFI is dismal I'm guessing FT8 will be the winner.

If I have WSJT-X (FT8), JTAlerts, and your ARRL Spring VHF logger all talking together, can I just substitute the VHF Logger settings to Field Day Logger and have it do FT8 for FD?

Thanks for such good support.

Hi Tom,
Thanks!
Did as you suggested. COM4 disappeared from the list and reappeared when keyer was reconnected. WinKeyer still can't connect to any of the four COM Ports. When trying  COM5 the response becomes "Access to COM5 is Denied".  Can you think of anything else I can try?

Hi - I'm Robert Osness, AE7EE.  I have used the N3FJP Nov. Sweepstakes program annually for many years. This year I have hit the wall in trying to set up the software to use my WinKeyer USB 2 and W1GEE LCU-3I Rig Control Cable to communicate with my ICOM IC-7100.  I have four COM ports available, COM1, 3, 4 and 5.  I have tried using each of the four ports to set up the WinKeyer and Rig Interface, but nothing works. The WinKeyer setup attempt gives a Timed Out  response in every case.

I remember having had this problem before, but I don't remember the solution. This time, I'll make notes.  Suggestions would be greatly welcomed!
