Re: Transferring info from fldigi to ACL

Good morning
In the FLDIGI log settings you can set how it exports. I am not near the PC but i have exported via adif for years and now log direct from FLDIGI to ACL and either way it shows as psk31, olivia, thor, etc not as DIG.

Hope this helps

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your e-mail.  The mode value is being transferred from FLDigi to AC Log via the API.  Since FLDigi is providing the value, you should contact the FLDigi folks on this.

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Transferring info from fldigi to ACL

Hi All.  I do a lot of digital using fldigi.  My primary log is ACL, installed on a Windows 10 machine.  I also do digital on another station with an XP machine.  I periodically transfer log files from fldigi on the XP machine to ACL on the W-10 machine for permanent record.  That all works just fine.  I work PSK, Rtty, Olivia, and others.  The info all transfers over to ACL perfectly, identifying the modes that were worked.  However, If instead of transferring the data by ADIF, I use the fldigi connected to ACL by API so it transfers data in real time, it never includes the digital mode as part of the data.  They all come across simply as "DIG" although fldigi is accurately recording the mode used.   ACL tracks WAS, DXCC, etc. per mode and "DIG" is not one of the modes selectable from the list.  When I transfer data from an N3FJP contest logger, such as 7QP, it also shows it all as "DIG".  In that case, that's expected since the original contest logging program records it all as Digital without regard to the mode.  I want to track my contacts by each digital mode but I don't want to be required to do it by ADIF when the API is so convenient.  any thoughts?  Thanks!
By the way, - - I think all N3FJP software is the best out there!!

I’m using Malwarebytes and Chrome . I did disable it and reloaded the contest program but no change. It just put the counties in a different location. All is well now.

Thanks for the good report Bob.  My software copies the needed files from Program Files to the My Documents folder on program start.  For some reason, Windows or your Internet protection software blocked the copy of 7QPCounteies.txt.  Your remedy is fine, but I am wondering why this occurred.

What Internet protection software are you and Lance running?  I am guessing there is is false positive on that file (which is very strange, as it is only a text file).

I too am having trouble loading the county list. I load the 7QP software and then when I click on setting and fill it with WAGRN, my state and county, it comes back and tells me that it is not a valid county. I can click on the country list and it is populated but when I click on LIST it is not populated. I click on  download county files and it says an “exception occurred during a WebClient request”

In Documents in 7QP county Setting files There is not county’s there.

Not sure how to get them in there so the 7QP program can use them. The program works find just won’t let me confirm a county because there is nothing there to confirm the county.

Haven’t heard an answer to this one yet.

Well I just thought of something and found the fix. Well not sure but I have it working now.

I went to my OS( C ) and click on program files then n3fjp software-Affirmatech,7QP and then 7QPcounties. They are all there. So I copied the text document saved it and then went to MY documents and brought up the 7QP file and loaded my saved text file in with my county files in my documents and then when I brought up the N3FJP program again it came up with asking me to log in . Once I did that if came up and now it is working. I can enter WAGRN with a call and it works like it is suppose to.

Hope that helps someone else and you can understand how I did it.

Lance,

Have you read page 16 of the YT-100 Manual?

Have you set the program to 4800 baud?

Also, make sure that the FT-857 CAT/LIN/TUNER menu is showing CAT.

I  bought from your full disk a while ago - nearly 2 months.

I installed it on my XP machine.  Except for a bunch of operator problems works great.  Still getting used to it.

Try to install it on my Win 8.1 machine.  Load the CD which reads it but it never asks me to install it.  Nothing happens.

Went to the controls setting and set it to ask me each time is installed - nothing happens.

Turned on AUTOPLAY too but nothing happens.

Any ideas.  I am not a guru on this stuff by any means.

Lance, if you are sure you have the correct program, while the 7QP software is closed, using Window File Manager, navigate to:

C:\Users\YourWindowsUserProfle\Documents\Affirmatech\N3FJP Software\7QP-QSO-Party

And make sure 7QPCounties.txt exists (and is not locked by your Internet Protection software or Windows security settings).  If blocked, correct your security settings.  If missing, add the file attached to this e-mail.

Regarding the tuner, sorry, I'm not familiar with the equipment you mentioned.  Hopefully others will have more insights there.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Error 'Already uploaded QSO Suppressed on Line 32'

The QSO in question is QSO number 1 in the ACL.  It has in fact been uploaded to LOTW.  I have no idea what 'Line 32' means.  I did two imports of ADIF files from WSJTX into ACL.  The first import worked fine; 7 QSO's for 2 Meters added to the log.  I uploaded those QSO's to LOTW.  The second import into ACL seemed to work fine.  I sorted the log on date and then attempted an upload to LOTW.  The subject error occurred.  I have no idea what the problem is.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your e-mail.  When you export an ADIF file, the date of export is included in the header, so if you export it today, it will have today's date.  Here is an example (bolded):

Hi Eduardo,

Thanks for your e-mail.  From the menu options click File > Show File Locations and note the location of your Shared settings folder.  Then close AC Log.

Open BandPlan.txt in a text editor and edit the "E" values to your preference.

Keep in mind that whenever you click File > Download Country Files from AD1C, that file is also updated, so keep a backup of your customized file.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Set range of frequency and mode

Hi.
On the CALL box, when I enter a frequency like 14.200 the radio change direct to this frequency.
My doubt:
When I tap 7,120 or 7,125 my rig change to CW mode. If I tap 7125,1 or other frequency up of this he change to SSB mode as normal.

How can I change the "Band and mode plan" ? In order to set CW from 7,000 to 7,050 as CW and 7,050,1 to 7,300 as SSB ?

Tks Eduardo PY2MP

I can get a valid adif file and load to .ACLOG. When I try to upload to DXLAB logbook the the adif file gives me dupes .
They are not dupes.
Thanks Dave
