Re: QSO data is invisible for entire log?

I changed the List Forecolor to different contrasting colors that shows up on the  [ Main List Appearance ] but has no effect on the [ Main Screen List ].
Changed to [ Reset to Original Settings ] and still no QSO display. It's as if the [ Main List Forecolor ] has a brightness level of 0%.
Recent Windows 10 updates , about a week ago, may have changed something as it did last year to the soundcard levels for WSJT-X that reduced the volume to 0%.

Rate display, FQP in-state

Dave

During the last hour of tonight's session of the Fla QSO party, I decided to go to the low end (CW) and call CQ, and maybe work a few stations before going to bed.

After a few minutes it sounded like the receiving end of a rare DX pileup.... but it was me!

After the love was over, and it got close to 10 o'clock, I saw that the "time" column had multiple entries with the same time, 2, 3, or 4 with the same time stamp. I knew that it was going fast, but didn't realize it until I plotted the rate, at View/Graph...  At the far right end it was a jagged graph that quickly went to 120 -- that is, 120-per-hour. That was an amazing thing, and I'm not sure if I have done that before.

The only reason I'm putting this here is to say that the program performed flawlessly. I was never waiting for it to catch up, never wondering what to press, or anything. It just worked.

You really have to love that.

A happy N3FJP user for over 15 years......

All logs are not visible, but when clicked on QSO line, will show up for editing. Tried changing colors for font and background, but still invisible.
AC log 6.4. As of 4/25/2020. Any suggestions? K9ISS Bob, Thanks

Another vote for the ability to log the VHF/UHF/Microwave sprints! A lot of activity on those 'contests' on this coast. Maybe just the added titles to the VHF Contest Log contest selection would be fine.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm sorry that you have run into trouble.  I don't know of any way the number of duplicates could be increasing when manually deleting individual records.  Please send me a copy of your log file direct, with an example of an additional duplicate that occurred after you deleted it and I will take a look.

Hello, i've looked through a bunch of topics on removing duplicate contacts and can't find an answer to my problem.
I see that i have over 200 duplicate contacts in my log. It started out at about 40 and everytime i try to remove them the number increases. When i come across them in my log i delete them manually, but if i try to do from the menu that's when they increase. The only way i find them is if i happen upon them if im making another contact with that person. Is there a way to fix this or i just have to let it be? I tried from the file menu but it doesn't work .

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Editing QSL Label Fields

GA All,

I've used ACLog and the contest logs for quite a number of years now.

Through experimentation, I have edited and repositioned the input fields in the ACLog for satellite contact logs. The only hang-up I have now to edit the contacts for QSL labels.....trying to change the label field doesn't work for me when I highlight a call,  select  edit, select more but can't rearrange them to reflect to only reflect the changes for a QSL label........I get the call time & date, mode, and an RST( which I don't want) and I can't display the satellite on that label.

Has anyone found a workaround to this
Thanks
Frank

Re: LOTW Flag incorrect

Scott Davis

Hi Craig,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm happy to help and this is an easy one.  Just do the following:

-  First, try doing an All Data download from the LoTW form.

If for some reason you still have some unmarked QSOs:

-  From AC Log's main form, list all the records that are unmarked (you can sort by clicking the S header or Sent Confirmed By header after listing All).

-  Holding Ctrl or Shift, multi select the unmarked QSOs.

-  Click Edit > Mark Selected Records As > Sent.

-  Put an L in the box that appears.

That will do the trick.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] LOTW Flag incorrect

Hi Everyone.  I did *try* starting this discussion on the LOTW group, and the folks there were very helpful, but we started veering into more of a N3FJP problem, and I know Scott does not do email support of LOTW issues, but I'm really up a creek here.

Long story short, the "Duplicate QSOs Detected" error window appears when I attempt to upload all QSOs not previously uploaded.

There are 87 QSO's that are being rejected by the TQSL application.

I have identified the offending QSO's, and have exported them to separate ADIF files.    None of them had the "L" Flag in the 'S Conf' column.

I started an empty, test MDB file and imported these QSO's in.
I tested the LOTW by attempting to upload the 87, and of course the TQSL application squawked.

I canceled.

If I manually enter an "L" in each QSO, will this manually solve the problem?;
1. working in the test database
2. manually update the Sent flag in each record to include an "L"
3. export all records to a new ADIF
4. open my REAL ACLog database
5. IMport the "fixed" QSO logs

QUESTION - will that create 87 duplicates in ACLog?  or, will they simply update the existing records?

I just don't want to lose data, or ruin the integrety of logs previously uploade to LOTW that other hams are relying on.

Thanks in advance

ACLog Software now interfacing with the Kenwood TS-890S from AF1K

Many thanks to all that replied to the first set of postings to group.io with information on their working set ups along with suggestions for me to pursue.  Basically, for $32 w/ shipping I bought a new USB CAT interface cable (for Kenwood TS-890S & other KW Rigs) which solved the problem.  Hey, if I can afford a $3k radio I ought to be able to afford getting a new cable to replace a 10+ yr old one right?

So now I am able to run both the KW- ARCP-890 remote control software simultaneously with the ACLog software.  That is the configuration I was chasing when I set off on the path to install logging software that would automatically collect the radios operating configuration setting.

For the details on how I got there, please read the two attachments.

1. "ACLog Software now interfacing with the Kenwood TS-890S from AF1K.pdf"
2. "USB CAT interface cable for Kenwood TS-2000 TS-590SG TS-870s TS-890S TS-570s 747916975519 _ eBay.pdf"

Sometimes ya get lucky, but sometimes persistence and a little extra cash works too.
