Unmarked QSO sent to LoTW

I worked about 8 countries in the contest today.  It was successfully downloaded to LoTW, but ACL does not show it as sent

Re: AC Log Contact record doesn't seem to have my call sign in the QSO records

OPERATOR call is included if you enter it in the optional Operator field in setup. AFAIK LoTW associates your upload with the callsign of record of your LoTW account. Other award programs may or may not depend on the OPERATOR and/or STATION_CALLSIGN fields, particularly for multi-op, club call, or special event call scenarios. STATION_CALLSIGN can be added as one of the "OTHER" fields.

I guess I just expected the normal log to do something similar.

My follow-on question is: If the operator call sign is not included with each record, how do QSOs get reconciled with the correct call sign with LOTW? I must be missing something as to how this works.

N, it's a colon : .  I don't have my reading glasses on.

Actually, I used the Browse button to select the H drive so it is accurate.

If that is exact you have a semi colon instead of a colon on the h on the drive map

I have a Win7 machine with ACLog 3.0.
I also have a new Win10 machine.
I have loaded your version 6.0 on my new Win10 machine.
I have a user name and password for the original ACL3.0.  How do I use this info to log into 6.0?
I will be retiring the Win7 machine.

Len,

Upgrade instructions are here (scroll down toward the bottom)

http://www.n3fjp.com/upgradestepsaclog.html

You also may want to upgrade to ACLog 6.6 before you migrate your old data.

Re: Problem with ACL 6.6 - SOLVED

Bruno Haineault

Found the issue … It was TQSL’s “Station Location”.

For whatever reason it was no longer present. So, I selected “New” and added my location. Now ACL uploads the QSOs without any problem. This is what your HELP page listed just below the ERROR message. Note that it was a different error message, but the same solution applies.

Just wanted to share the solution J.

Bruno,

Not sure if this will help but the current version of TQSL is 2.5.1.

Re: Problem with ACL 6.6 ... follow-up

Bruno Haineault

Scott … it still doesn’t work.

I updated my QTH coordinates (33.141, -117.305) and made sure I am using the current LOTW file. Also confirmed that my LOTW license is active. Followed the steps in the HELP page as suggested

When I try to send an update, I still get the same error message:

TQSL software reports:

TQSL Version 2.4.7 [v2.4.7]

Error: The selected station location could not be found

Final Status: Command Syntax Error (10)

Rebooted with the same results.

Note that this worked just fine until a week or so ago. No changes over here. Also, note that I not getting any error messages when I poll LoTW to receive QSLs.

By the way, I understood the “Error: The selected station location could not be found” meant that the station logging I am trying to send is invalid. But it’s happening for all of yesterday’s contacts.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Sorry, no, the Other fields are Windows text box controls, not drop down list controls.

I'm sorry that I didn't have the answer you were hoping for.

Enjoy!

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Custom Field?

Hi all

I’ve watched the FAQ videos and this doesn’t seem to be covered: is it possible to take one of the fields labeled OTHER and make a drop down list wherein one could have a list of rigs or antennas, making the ability to drop down said list on the main form and select said rig or antenna for the QSO in progress before he QSO is saved?

All input is appreciated!

K1OJ,
Re:

Con is you have to be running software to operate unless you move a key directly to the rig and change key menu to correct setting..

If you use paddles, just plug them into the WinKeyer (WKUSB-SMT) and leave them there.  WinKeyer operates as a keyer even when NOT being controlled by any PC software. The WinKeyer Mini does require a PC connection for power, but the original one with the battery does not.

I covered the same territory.  Ended up using  a winkeyer. Pro is that you can easily run different logging softwares with no hardware or keyed configuration changes. Con is you have to be running software to operate unless you move a key directly to the rig and change key menu to correct setting...

The more I look into this, even I do not want to, is to use K1EL Winkeyer box. Or some sort of virtual com port software that works with N3FJP software. Some one suggested to use  LP Bridge   Ihttp://www.telepostinc.com/LPB.html have no Idea what I am doing or how to do this, and/or if this stuff is all compatible with Elecraft and N3FJP AC.
