Re: FIL SETTINGS ETC TOP MENU logdata.mdb and info bar
Scott Davis
Hi Wilbur,
Thanks for your e-mail. There isn't a way to customize the menu font size individually yet. To reset your font settings, click Settings > Appearance > Colors and Fonts and click the button to reset.
You will find the button to change the bearing, etc., font size on the same form in AC Log 6.6.
Enjoy!

Upcoming RTTY Roundup - using Ham Radio Deluxe
Ed Proctor
Just a reminder that the W4ELP Lookup program with bridge for N3FJP loggers is ready to go for the ARRL RTTY Roundup in January. Recent improvements have made operation smoother and more reliable for users of older HRD version 5.24. Also included are changes to maintain compatibility with the latest HRD V6.7. This program allows any N3FJP logger, including AC Log, to be used in real time with Ham Radio Deluxe DM780 digital software of with HRD Logbook. It is free and can be downloaded at https://groups.io/g/W4ELP.
If you anticipate using this, please download early and practice well before the contest! 73, Ed - W4ELP

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your e-mail. There have been no changes to the hot keys for the CW form. As always, Ctrl + W displays the CW setup form and Ctrl + Shift + W displays the mini form.

Re: Logging question
You will probably receive NILs for those Qs as they will submit using the
call that they sent. ALWAYS log the call you hear. You just need to
hit enter a second time to log those calls.

Re: Logging question
Scott Davis
Hi Robert,
Thanks for your e-mail. If you read the dialogue carefully, it alerts you that there isn't a numerical value in the 2nd or 3rd character, but it also tells you just to press enter to log the QSO anyway. Just press enter again and you are all set.

Re: Log too big?
Jerry W1IE
There could be significant improvement in the redesign of the Access table. Right now, Scott has only one table which is very flat (in other words, it holds all the data and the data is all ASCII) so if it was designed in at least the 2nd Norm, things would start to move faster. You can help move things along by adding some indexes on some of the tables, such as the callsign field.

There are other things that could be done. Best regards, Jerry, W1IE

I had the same message but there was a dialogue box that asked me if I wanted to log it anyway. It logged correctly after selecting the option to log anyway.

Re: Log too big?
Many thanks to all for the comments.
The computer is an i5 at 3GHz. RAM is a puny 8GB. I may have a suitable memory card in another computer I no longer use. I'll pop that in and see if there's a difference. But, keeping the display list to 50 works for me. 73, dale, kg5u

I’m with you Don……especially staying with ACLog
73 Frank NG1I
From: N3FJPSoftwareUsers@groups.io <N3FJPSoftwareUsers@groups.io> On Behalf Of Don N4KC
Well, I have a fairly fast Win10 machine with plenty of RAM, yet when I switch from "Last 50" to "All" it takes 13 seconds to display the data. I have about 24,000 records in ACLog. I can see how this would delay showing that your FT8 QSO had been successfully logged. Obviously, ACLog has to do a lot of work each time a change is made, including logging a new contact, when you are displaying that many records.

Re: Winkeyer Emulator and RemoteRig RRC Query
Scott Davis
Hi Dennis,
Thanks for your follow up. To change the Winkey settings in the software, click Settings > Transmit > CW. Then click the Winkeyer button on the form that appears, but I doubt you need to change anything from defaults as Winkeyer isn't rig dependent..
Again, if you have your radio configured for keyer instead of straight key, it will not work. You must have Winkeyer plugged into your straight key jack.
Good luck!
