Re: Request: additional display of DX info

Scott Davis

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I will give that some thought for the future.

You can always click View > Country List and then click the header to sort by country and see all the prefixes and other info for that country.

Thanks again!

Enjoy!

When I select a Country from the pull down menu and then click on Country name. I get a nice summary of  DX for that country. But I would also like to know the PREFIX of that Country in that Window. Could you add the PREFIX just to the right of the Country name at the top of the window? Maybe Short/Long path too? I'm trying minimize keystrokes and I think those two additions would help us Dxer's.

Re: Contest Log

Hi Larry,

Thanks for your e-mail.  With all the other commitments I already have on my plate, the World Wide Digi Contest sponsors didn't announce their contest with sufficient lead time for me to support their 2019 event. Lord willing, I do plan to support it next year.

I'd like to operate X contest. The exchange is X. Which program should I use?

I'm sorry that I didn't have the answer you were looking for.

Probably should have tested this b4, but.. Anyway, I open the FJP HPM Log, set it up correctly, API server on. Start FLDigi, choose n3fjp logging, click connect. Yellow diamodn does not light, but this is in data stream:

RCVD:
<CMD><PROGRAMRESPONSE><PGM>N3FJP's Hiram P. Maxim Contest Log</PGM><VER>1.0</VER><APIVER>1.5</APIVER></CMD><crlf>
SEND:
<CMD><PROGRAM></CMD>SEND:
<CMD><PROGRAM></CMD>RCVD

Over and over again. When I try to choose the contest in FLDigi, I pull down the menu, choose a contest, and it stays there for a second then reverts back to NO CONTEST. When I do an exchange and <LOG>, it logs to the FLDigi log, but not to N3FJP.

What am I missing here? Sorry I waited so long, Scott...

It probably isn’t the settings in ACLog, it’s more than likely the settings in WSJT-X (you didn’t mention it, but I imagine you are using this).

Go to File>Settings

Then click on the “Reporting” Tab ( 5th one over)

Under “Logging” look at the 4th check box down.

Is it checked ??

Thank you Scott for that link with the YouTube viewing.

Try uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it without the radio attached.  Then plug your cable into the USB port you want and turn on your radio.  I heard that the driver bonds with the com port so it makes it difficult to change the com port once it is installed.

Your probably going to have to pay for something. Lists of DXCC entities are available for free. ARRL and RGSB both sell wallhangers 24 X 36. ARRL wants 15 bucks plus shipping. It is laminated and comes in a nice cardboard tube. I have one on my wall next to the rig. Yaesu did give something out with new hf rigs but I dont know if they sell them. Quite large. But you need that there are a lot of prefixes and dxcc entities.
