That is exactly what has happened, I found one entry that they changed the section field, but not the state and now have to search for the other. Thanks for your support. The software worked great, we had 5 computers networked together using TCP and it worked flawlessly. Larry N8CWU

Thanks for your follow up. They likely entered it wrong and then edited the section field, but not the state field.

Hello again... in the AClog program under the main logging screen
not with any settings open use the down arrow to select CW mode
then hit F12 if you have the WinKeyer setup correctly you will get
the dialog box that the keyboard keying is enabled. If you do not
have WinKey setup correctly you will not get the dialog box or CW
Mode is not selected you will not get the the dialog box. Like I

Hello Bill here N3GTY lets see if I can confuse you.... if you have
the Winkey configured make sure that AcLog program is in CW as the
mode. Then hit F12 if you see the message that you can type from the
keyboard and your CW is enabled. Again hit F12 to disable it.
That is to enable Keyboard typing for CW you an also set the CW Macros and use them also. Hope that helps 73 for now Bill On 6/26/2018 13:17, Jed Barton

So you need to make sure that you are getting the message that says something to the effect "WinKeyer Version XXX opened - success ! " when you tell it to configure WinKeyer. If you aren't seeing that confirmation, then WinKeyer is not active. If you're seeing the confirmation, make sure you have all the desired options checked - correct keying output port, sidetone enable/disable, speed pot lock/unlock, etc. and then use the "test" button at the bottom to make sure you're hearing the WinKeyer respond. If it doesn't respond, then something is amiss. If it does respond (I think it sends a series of V's, then your call), then click the "done" button to exit. Do not click the "close" button or you'll turn the WinKeyer off. 73 Mark KN7T

Jed, You should be in the main log window and you use the F keys to send the programmed message or exchange if that's what you're after. There are special characters used to create a message or exchange in the WinKeyer window (where you define each F key function). Make sure that the WinKeyer was confirmed "open - success !" before you close that window or it won't function. 73 Mark KN7T

Field Day software IP wireless network and N7YG digital engine
Jay
Greetings all.
I am looking to see if anyone else has run into this situation for field day, and if so, would love to hear from them. Winter Field Day software networked via IP (wireless). Each client also running the N7YG digital Engine to run PSK31. We setup each laptop in the network and got them working as expected. When you clicked on a station in the N7YG digital engine, the mouse pop up / break out box would list: station call, station section, station class. You pick the right one, and the information is carried over to the Field Day logging software. Works slick. Then we networked all of the machines. From that point, ONLY the server machine (also used as a client) would work properly with the N7YG engine. The server could run the N7YG software, and when clicking on a call sign would just have the three options come up (callsign, section, class) that would match with the Field Day software. However, every other computer on the network defaulted to the standard selection that the N7YG software offers when used with the standard AClog. A user clicks on a call sign, and a popup with (name, grid, class, 1010 number, state, county.. etc etc..) would appear. Class and Section are not options on this list, only 1 option (call sign) would carry over to the Field Day logging software. Again. Turn off the networking to the server, restart field day logging software and the N7YG digital engine, and it works fine (3 options). Shut down the software, turn the networking back on in the Field Day logging software.. restart n7YG digital engine.. back to the list of 10 or so options. Has anyone else seen this and if so, what is the work around? We had a mix of Win 7 and 10 machines and everything else worked great with the FD software.. just the interaction of the N7YG software on the networked clients was problematic. I have also emailed Jeff directly to see if he has insight. Thanks all, I hope FD went well for everyone. - Jay N1RWY

Someone enter AK for AR? Easy to do, and both are valid sections so program would not catch it. Dale K8TS

Hi Larry,
Thanks for your e-mail. I don't know how AK could be counted if it is not in your log. No one has ever reported that before. The blank lines are contacts for which there is no state.
