Hi Charlie,

Make sure your XML subscription is current with the QRZ folks.  QRZ only returns the name after expiration.

I configured the qrz dialog, checked both boxes. When I enter n3fjp in the Call box and tab, nothing happens. No error messages, nothing.

Scott,

Great! Now you'll force me to update my QRZ page!

Just kidding! It looks good so far. I'm in getting ready for round two of the 160 Meter contest, so I'll play with AClog further tomorrow.

Thanks for all your work, both on this, and the contest software. the 160 Meter log (3.5) is working flawlessly.

One question, though. i think this has been asked before, but I'll try it again.

Any way to change icons for the programs? I keep a couple programs in my taskbar menu, and I'd like to be able to distinguish them from one another by sight, rather than waiting for the tooltips to appear.

John, KD8MQ

Hi Rodger,

Thanks for your e-mail.  My software will only interface with one rig at a time.

Can someone advise me how I go about setting up 2 rig control. One rig is not a problem, on the setup page for rig control there is a Rig Interface Help option, when I look at that I have a display that shows Rig 1 & Rig 2, this option is not available on my rig interface set up page in version 5 of AC Log.

Am I going about this wrong, also how do we switch from one rig to the other, can't seem to find the answers.

Thanks again,

Re: New version Recommendation

John

Hi Scott,

I used the ARRL 160m log program last night and it worked very well. Then I exported the QSOs into AClog. When I went to upload to LoTW threre was one contact AClog warned me about. Well, I checked and I had typed in a "Oh" where there should be a "Zero." When corrected the error in the 160m log, the 160m log notified me it was a duplicate.

So...

Maybe there is a way you could program the contest logs to check the section against the call and warn if calls without numbers in them are being entered. Fortunately, AClog did find my error.

Best regards,

John WoGN

Re: 5 CAT setup hangs AClog

John and everyone else,

I tried to get com0com to work on my windows 7 machine and I had problems.

I then found a program written by another ham called VSP Manager that works great.

To get a free copy of VSP Manager, you need to E-Mail Steve Nance K5FR with your name and call sign asking for a copy of VSP Manager.

Steve’s E-Mail address is snance@....

He will E-Mail you back a link to download the program.

Bob,

Check here:

http://com0com.sourceforge.net

Instead of using hardware ports, virtual port pairs allow one software program to communicate with another software program.

Since my Hermes SDR runs under the PowerSDR program, I can connect it to AClog and FLdigi with no cables or hardware ports.  There is just an Ethernet cable from Hermes to the PC which takes care of everything except key, mike, speaker and antenna.

However, I think AClog may need some tweeks before I can switch back and forth between my Hermes and TS440S.

John   WoGN

If I'm not mistaken ACLog is not "free".  Where did you get that idea?  Maybe for the first 30 contacts it might be free but after that you need to pony up.

Im also a big fan of ClubLog and upload all new log entries so would be good addition.

Winning Lotto numbers would also be nice :).

Scott;

You have upload capability for LOTW and eQSL. I have seen previously your comment that you don't want a proliferation of upload capabilities; however I request you reconsider regarding Clublog.

Here is how popular Clublog is 262,352,275 QSO's, 38,522 callsigns, 28,957 users. Average 1134 logs are upload daily.

Currently it takes an ADIF export then upload/import via the Clublog web page.

It would be very nice to have an LOTW-like upload to Clublog.

Thanks, Dave WB5NHL
