Hi Pat,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm not familiar with the Yaesu FTDX-101D, so I don't know if there is a way to set the rig to return the active VFO.  Perhaps others in the group will have some useful insights for you.

When I switch radio from MAIN to SUB my logbook does not follow. 
It only keeps displaying the info of the MAIN.
