One note about Windows 10 operating systems is the differences between Home and Professional. 

While I don't know specific details and someone in the group may be able to elaborate, if you have home versions, networking will be an issue. I don't think you can network (share or link computers on a network) with the Home version.

You can find out what version in Windows 10 you have by opening File Explorer and right clicking on This PC on the left side and it will show you the version there.

I read and re-read every bit of documentation I could locate but no joy with File Share.  I finally gave in and checked TCP and CHAT on all of my hosts and bingo! Things began working perfectly.
