Re: Is There a Standard Format for Entering Signal Reports into the Log?
Hi Richard. I’m not sure what the standard is but I can tell you my experience. My experience is to log all SSB contacts as “5X9” in ACLog. Admittedly this is a self created standard. Where I run into trouble with this standard is when I used the ACLog contesting software. I enter a lot of CW contests and a 599 report is not a problem but if I’m not mistaken when you enter a SSB contest you better use “59” rather than “5X9”. I had to figure out a way to edit several hundred “59” reports to “5X9” to meet my standard. A royal pain in the quester.
Good luck with whatever standard you choose. Just be aware of some unintended consequences.

Subject: [N3FJP_Software_Users] Is There a Standard Format for Entering Signal Reports into the Log?
I am wondering what is the standard or typical format used for entering a signal report into the log (i.e., into the Sent/Rec fields)? For example, among the possibilities are: "59", 5 x 9", 5x9", five by nine" and so on.
