Serial Number

Joe WB9SBD

When I put the serial number AFTER the exchange, it plays the exchange and then the serial number. Like this,
F2 EXCH,{OPERATOR}\EXCHANGE.WAV,#
everything plays fine no errors or anything

But anytime I try to make it play infront of the exchange it throws an error,  Like when I have the string like this,
F2 EXCH,{OPERATOR}\#,EXCHANGE.WAV

Joe,

{OPERATOR}\EXCHANGE.WAV - produces a wavfile path.

{OPERATOR}\#   -  is NOT a wave file path.

The # character is a macro.

Did you try the macro followed by a wav file path?

F2 EXCH,#,{OPERATOR}\EXCHANGE.WAV

Thanks John,
Yes this worked,
F2 EXCH,#{OPERATOR}\EXCHANGE.WAV
I did not try it with the second comma tho, it is working as seen above.
What was confusing me is I was thinking the # would have to be AFTER the {OPERATOR}
in my mind I was thinking it had to be otherwise how would it know who's number set to use ya know?

Again John thanks for the reply.

Joe,

The # is a macro not a wav file. So placing it in a path was incorrect.

The # macro uses the specific directory defined in Config. The default value uses the {operator} macro.
