ARRL VHF cw function keys

Tad Danley
 

Running the latest 1.0.8891.0  Able to edit the function keys for CW
fine, but not able to change the labels to match.  Rig is in CW mode and
S&P selected.  Labels show F1 - F12 with nothing else for
F2/4/6/8/10/11, and N/A for 1/3/5/7/9/11.

You don’t have some labeled...see F1 under run, after the comma you have CQ Test....that’s the label.....see under F2, after the comma the macro starts , no label....

the convention is the same.....you have F1/F3/F5/F7/F9/F11 labeled has N/A....if you want them to say something else.....edit the file......whatever you type in first, is the label

Understood.  Editing the send messages works as expected - what isn't
working is I cannot edit the button labels.

Example:  F2 in CW sends: TU FM05, the message editor line for F2 shows:
F2 Exch,TU FM05 , but the button label on the entry window shows only: F2

I think I've spotted a editing syntax error in addition to your muckling about with standard macro command characters.  Try fixing that, then see if the editor works again. 
Look VERY carefully at your entry for F5 under S&P.  Note that on that line only you did not include a comma after the N/A you entered as a label. All of the other lines for both Run and S&P are properly structured.  'End Of Line' does not terminate the label field entry.  Each line MUST include the comma after the label value and before the macro.command (if any).

The label is the part BEFORRE the comma.  Everything after is sent.

You don’t have some labeled...see F1 under run, after the comma you have CQ Test....that’s the label.....see under F2, after the comma the macro starts , no label....

Karl,

The comma after the label for a blank line has no effect.  It's most likely that Tad's buttons are simply not wide enough to show the whole label.  Making the EW wider will correct that, as Jamie noted.

Thanks all for the help!  Turns out my entry window was a bit too narrow after all, which is puzzling because I had no issues last weekend with NAQP CW and hadn't changed anything related to the entry window size this weekend for ARRL VHF or NAQP SSB.
