Many thanks to Stan Stockton, B. Smith, and Rick VE3KI!
Each of your comments were on point and helped me troubleshoot my issue.
I needed the driver for the USB to UART and I needed to redirect my PC to the correct sound card.
It also helped to "show hidden devices" in device manager.
The rest fell into place as I went through the process.
I have the spectrum waterfall on my PC screen, so now the real learning can begin!
