Phil,

Ctrl+Alt+M will change between Run & Mult in M1 or Run1 & Run2 in M2 class.

The state of the station is displayed in the Info window (RUN or MULT) to the right of the timers.

Other than when the program is started, is there a way to change a station from Run to Mult or vice versa?

Other than timers, is there something different with the logging between the run and mult station?

Thanks,

That’s why I uninstalled, removed confit and started over. But I guess it didn’t help. I only configured SPARE macros, didn’t change any existing. But somehow it got messed up. Thanks for the help!!

If you are using only one (default) function key message file, then every time you change it, that change applies to future contests until you change it again.

In order not to have to keep on editing your one message file, you could set up several function key message files - one for contests with a signal report, another one for contests with no signal report, another one for SS, another one for Sprints, etc.

There are a lot of contest-specific message files at <http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=25>. You can download any of them. Under the Associated Files tab in the Contest Setup dialog, you can tell the program to use a contest-specific message file instead of the defaults, and from then on that particular file will be used for that contest type (e.g. in future years).

I made my own macro button so I could run the contest. But I’m wondering why this is changed? In the past the 5nn sent without me having to program up a button.

The default settings have always worked for this contest in the past.

In the Contest Setup, just put your zone. This tells the program what to put in the Cabrillo file.

In your F2 (excahgne) message, put 5NN {EXCH} or 5NN 4 or {SENTRST} {EXCH} or {SENTRSTCUT} 4 or something like that that includes both an RST and your zone. This tells the program what to send when you want to send the exchange.

Scoring tracking and score reporting

Mike ND9G

A couple of quick questions
  1. Is it possible to only have the shown score be that of the entry class?  For example, I am SO HP 80, but handing out some Qs on other bands during the day. It's keeping a cumulative score. Can I just have it track the score for 80M?
  2. I post to an online scoreboard, is it possible to only have it report the score of my entry class?
I have a feeling the answer to both of these is no, but wanted to confirm.

Thanks

The <alt>+J keyboard shortcode is an Entry Window command, and does not work if your cursor is in the Rotor window.

If you have the Prosistel rotor defined in the Configurer >Antennas "Rotor Description" column for the current band, after entering a callsign and pressing <spacebar> or <tab> the heading should appear beneath the message buttons in the Entry Window. Pressing <ctrl>+J should turn the rotator.

I am having some trouble getting the rotor window to work correctly.

I can turn the rotor by clicking on anyone of the macro buttons, or by typing a number into the small window that displays the heading & pressing the enter key on the keyboard. But I can't use Alt.J or Alt.L to turn it. there is a message comes up in the bottom of the rotor window saying:  Prosistel 61D not defined.
I have the Prosistel 61D set up on COM1, & as I said it works fine from the macro buttons, so the COM port must be working ok.

Is there something I'm missing, or is it supposed to work like that with the Prosistel rotor??
This is no big problem, but 'just nice to have' !!

Here, Geo:

5.1. Messaging

Frequently, in a multi-op situation, there is a need to communicate to other operators without shouting acrss the room. For this purpose, there is a Talk function, which can be used either one-to-one or one-to-many. It can be invoked in several ways:

  • Ctrl+E
  • The Talk button on the Actions tab of the Network Status window
    • either of these options assumes you want to send a message to all stations, so it enters an "*" to denote that your message will go to all stations.
  • Right-clicking on a line in the Stations tab of the Network Status window.
    • Doing this will open the Talk window and enter the computer name of the station you clicked on.

In either case, you need to be sure and type a space before you begin your message, to keep the program from misunderstanding your message as part of the computer name.

You'll note that the Talk window stays open until closed by clicking on the "X" at upper right. However, if you right-click in the window, it brings up a menu with a single self-explanatoryoption, "Enter moves focus to Entry window".

In the Main setup area of the logger click on the Digital tab. There is a section on that tab to setup Fldigi. After you have entered the path to where Fldigi is located click ok and open the Digital window. On the upper menu click the Interface menu and you will now see a selection for Fldigi. Click that and the Fldigi waterfall will open.

Just log QSOs on the other bands in your log with the single band entry QSOs. They will be ignored for your own score with the sponsor, but used in log checking for the people you gave points to.

Single band entrants are required to include all contacts made during the contest period, even if on other bands. Only contacts made on the band specified in the Cabrillo header or summary sheet will be considered for scoring purposes. Logs with contacts only on one band will be classified as single band entries.
