Yes. Export a contest log as ADIF from N1MM and ingest it into the ACLog database as ADIF. You can even sort by contest in ACLog, N1MM inserts this field into the ACLog database automatically.

Been doing this for a decade with no issues.

It would be helpful if your post included the note to which you are responding. I assume the response below is to my inquiry regarding the "usual radio".

You might verify that the Icom CI-V address is correct for the IC-7800. Your original post suggests you may be "Using the same parameters . . . " for the IC-7800 as for the "E" radio. If so, that's a problem.

Steve, K8JQ, apologies; I had clicked on 'Reply' below your post thinking it would be tagged there - new to these forums.  "Using the same parameters..." refers to those in the MKII interface software, so the settings in N1MM+ and the MKII are identical, and to answer your specific query, yes, the CI-V address is correct (6A).  I do not use the MKII with the Elecraft as it has its own USB interface.  Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you. Apologies for not clarifying that - this is before any RF has been let out - so the software does not even begin to recognise there is a radio there

What is the "usual rig"? Is it also an IC-7800?

Radio is Icom 7800.
Interface is microHam MicroKEYER II (MKII). I have had this setup working in the past.

The MKII sees the radio, and changes mode and frequency as the radio does.  Using the same parameters in the N1MM+ configuration page, ie baud rate, data and stop bits, parity and Icom CI-V address, N1MM+ cannot find the radio, and will from time to time suggest the connection has been lost and I should Reset Radio,  Unfortunately this has no effect.

Attempts to resolve this so far:
1. Discussed with several local amateurs who use N1MM+ and have in the past used Icom rigs to discover the missing setting: none found. Reduced polling rate of N1MM+ to 50% slower
2. Uninstall and re-install microHam software
3. Uninstall and re-install N1MM+ software and apply latest update
4. Check for bent pins on the DB37 connector for the MKII - none found
5. Change the USB lead from the MKII to the PC

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Have you tried running your radio at (for example) 1 watt, to rule out RFI?

This is a very common issue when it comes to the radio and your computer not communicating.

In my case, using "reset radio" NEVER works.  I had to yank the USB cable, wait a moment, then plug it back in.

Missing multiple bands on entry screen

Herbert Schoenbohm

My computer crashed at end of SP contest.  I have painstakingly restored most files and downloaded N1MM plus.  It installed with ease,  Only problem I see is on the right-hand side of the N1MM Plus screen there used to be a selection of bands.  I only have a "phone" or "PH" selection
My question is...how do I get the multiband full band-mode panel on the left to return?

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.  Thanks

Drop the N1MM File selection down to Export, move right to Export ADIF to File, and the select "Export ADIF to file by date for all contests .... "  Then set the starting date - the end date is the current date and time.  Give the export file a unique name as the first part of the given name will be your call.

Within Amateur Contact Log, again select File and then chose Import ADIF...  Then navigate to where you saved the export from N1MM.

Hello Tom,
before leaving for the weekend, I sent the follow message, but see today it bounced (opr error!):

on a Danish keyboard the "=" key has never worked either, but found the function on the "+" key.

installing v1.0.7403.0
the function is now on two keys.

still on the "+" key and now also on the "=" key - BUT it requires two keystrokes "Shift" and "="

Happy New Year

---------- Forwarded message ---------

hi all - Just a reminder that Green Keys Night (GKN) is this Tuesday January 1st from 0000 to 2359Z.

Get on the air and make some real keyboard to keyboard QSOs using any vintage equipment you may have on hand - Teletypes, hardware modems, transceivers! But even if you don't have any vintage equipment, get on and enjoy the event!

Yes, this does run concurrent with Straight Key Night (SKN). When you get tired of pumping the old J-38 why not take a break and change modes?

Please do share this notice with any other appropriate groups you belong to.

Ken,

Not sure about how to import to N3FJP (although I use it too). You can certainly export ADIF files from N1MM+. I use N1MM+ for contests, then upload to LOTW (using ADIF files). I use N3FJP for general logging, and I just let it sync-up with LOTW. Maybe not what you are looking for, but it is one approach.

Re: Expert MB1 Transmit Issues with N1MM +

Hi Drew,
Thanks for getting back to me. It was Erik EI4KF / G0CGL who posted a message to look carefully at pages 30 and 31 in the Manual Addendum. I had to go into  Options, Device, CW and under RX 1 enable secondary key and use port Com 11 PTT RTS and Key DTR.
Once I did that and went back in to N1MM and pressed F4 the MB1 Transmitted.
I installed the Virtual Com Port Program and created Virtual Com ports 5 through 13 per the instructions.
I then went into ESDR2 and under options, cat Enabled Cat at Com port 5 and Enabled PTT at Com Port 9.
What I don't understand is why I have to use Com Port 6 and 11 for N1MM.
I guess the mystery of software programming.
Thanks!!

John, when is that setting being applied?

The Multiplier window title bar continues to show 142 possible each time that I re-open it. It doesn't switch to 63 possible until after I have opened and closed the “Select Bands & Modes to be Displayed” dialog box even though a mode of Contest (or RTTY) is already showing  as being checked.

There should be 48 states (AK and HI are DX for this contest), plus 14 Canadian 'entities.' Is the '142' number in the Title bar incorrect?

Brian, 49 "states" as DC is also a mult in this one. ;-)

Looking forward to seeing (working) everyone next weekend!
