Thanks for the comment, Ron.  And actually, I think that helped.  Your experience might point to the source of the problem as being on the Import side of N1MM+.

I'm using just one computer running Win 10.

In N1MM+ I saved the log as ADIF and imported it into DX Lab's DX Keeper.  All the Name and State fields imported OK.

N1MM+ was closed when I did the import into DX Keeper.

I mention this as just a point of reference.

Had similar problem during NAQP. Exported ADIF from one computer,

imported on another. Name populated both the name and state field.

Then when Cabrillo file was generated after the contest, name column

pulled the values from the state field, which in every case was consisting

of max. 3 letters, so the name ended up being truncated to only 3 letters.

Wow was that ever a PITA to fix!

Re: Using N1MM remotely?

Mike, I'm also using TeamViewer. I also use the K3ui utility by Pignology which gives me a virtual screen of the K3 front panel on the shack computer. I will also try Skype for the audio at some point but I mostly just use the K3's memories for cw. It's used mostly just for chasing dx. I wanted to at least have a chance to work a rare one if travelling. I also can hand out a few QSOs during CWTs  that way. I run the K3ui on port4, N1MM+ or Log4om on port7. I also run a MICROKEYERII and it's port utility creates the virtual ports.

In ur situation, you might want to try a program such as LPBRIDGE which will allow you to create virtual ports for the various programs ur running to use.

I suspect I'll eventually get Skype going for audio, but for now, I'll settle for rig control and N1MM running at the same time.

What piece of software do you guys use to remote into your rig and have it run at the same time as N1MM?

The ‘radio interface polling connection’ is your USB to KX3 lead?
'band map for this radio' is an available window....right click, and
‘reset radios’ is one of the options.

Check in Device Manager to see if W10 has changed your Com port
number.

Re: Using N1MM remotely?

Michael Walker

This is how I run my remote base.

I have a PC at the far end and I run remote desktop on it with N1MM+, PSTRotatorAZ, HRD and just about everything else.

I do use remoterig to control the TS480 with the control head at my house.

You don't need OmniRig at all.  Use either N1MM or HRD to talk to N1MM (HRD has an virtual com port to talk to N1MM).

And, as you found out, you can only have 1 app talk to 1 com port at the same time.  Of course, you can virtualize your com ports.

The RR box creates 4 virtual COM ports on my desktop. I configure
N1MM+ to use the virtual port for COM1 [I think it's COM6] via the RR
USB connection. CW thru Winkey to an RJ-45 pin on the RR Box. 443 Q's
in the NAQP CW last Sat.

Tom has TeamViewer set up so I can see and control the station
automation [antenna switching, rotators], and a webcam on the antenna
control on top of the K3 so I can tell which of the on-site positions
are using what. There's also a "shack cam" so I can tell if anyone is
at any of the local positions. Works very good, there are a few IP
hiccups, but I'm getting used to them. Haven't gone beyond CW, but SSB
is next as soon as I sort out all my mic/headphone adapters.

The MicroBit box is neither simple nor intuitive, the UI is an internal
HTML server which was carefully designed by engineers. I'm sure it's
all totally transparent to them. :-) The documentation is equally
engineeringly obtuse. One reason for the complexity is surely that RR
supports a wide variety of rigs, which is a bit amazing.

Its OK, question basically was not about myself, but more about others who may experience this behavior. Hopefully they will be curious enough and will read tooltip one way or another.
Yes, selected log lines are clearly distinct now. Although I did not had troubles here in the past.

Since you already know what that highlighting means, you don't need to

I added it to stop some of the questions we get every contest about what
the highlighting represents.

I don't have a fix other than lengthening the time focus is taken from
the entry window, and I don't want to do that for obvious reasons.
People expect focus to remain in the ew.

Is the row hightlighting in Win 7 now more obvious (mark one, then
multiple rows to see).

CW generation. (Coded by K3CT)
7. Telnet: If the users computer falls behind unable to process the

additional messages will only be displayed in the Info window. To
prevent this from occurring repeatedly add filtering at the telnet

I'm currently running remote [right now it's all I have] to W7RN
[Virginia City NV] from home in Sparks Nv using RemoteRig from MicroBit.

I'd like to use a IC7410 and Vertical and today did get TeamViewer
working for getting me onto the local (remote?) PC, but attempts to get
Ham Radio Deluxe and OmniRig have failed as they are all competing for
Com1 (the Icom7410)
What piece of software do you guys use to remote into your rig and have
it run at the same time as N1MM?
