Gerald,
You are correct. N1MM Plus does know my call. Thanks!! Mark KB3Z

Re: Running Message on Bandmap

Mark,

That's normal as far as I know. The funny character says that you are near sunrise/sunset.

  • Spots of stations close to their sunrise/sunset time are marked with a sunrise/sunset indicator "¤".
If you hover the mouse over the spot, you'll see that the program knows your callsign.

(Worry less, run more!)

This is the first time today that I am going to try and run on a frequency for CWOPS. On my bandmap it is reading CQ Frequency #. Is this normal or what? I usually run S&P, so this seems strange to me. Shouldn't it read my call? Any help would be much appreciated.

FLDIGI N1MM+

David Greig

Ok, I know I must be missing something here but...

I just re-formated my PC with windows 10 Professional, N1MM + works flawlessly for cw transmit, RTTY with MMTTY and MMVARI, But I can not get FLDIGI to load.

I installed FLDIGI based on the N1MM + instructions, after the install I reboot the computer, Enter N1MM +, Enter the DIGI mode using MMTTY, everything works great. As soon as I switch to FLDIGI, N1MM + locks up.

So I then follow the additional suggestion in the manual, create a directory in the Documents N1MM+ called FLDIGI, copy the FLDIGI Executable file there, reboot the computer, start N1MM+ goto Digital mode with MMTTY everything works, go to the DI to change to FLDIGI, N1MM+ locks up again

I then go back reset up FLDIGI, And run N1MM + as administrator, run the DI, change to FLDIGI and same issue N1MM+ just locks up.

I am using FLDIGI 3.23.05 and N1MM + 1.05325.0.

Also attached is my N1MM+ last error log, and the FLDIGI Stacktrace and status_log all which show errors that I do not understand.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank You!

Yeah, I got the same thing when I tried to enter a question some time ago. I think I had to register on the page first before I could get acess,. It would have been more friendly if there was some explicit instructions on the page.

Parallels and Database paths

SM0MDG

Hi,

I am preparing for for CQWW. Part of this is setting up a new installation of N1MM+ running on a virtual machine in Parallels for Mac. This should be a no-brainer but I am running into one issue with N1MM+, Parallels and Windows 10. I have setup Parallels so that the Windows virtual machine will use the same document folder as the Mac. For safety reasons I don’t like to store data in the Windows machine archive. The problem is that N1MM doesn’t seem to recognise the document path, it defaults to the Windows document path within the virtual machine. (Windows itself defaults to the proper document path on the Mac seeing it as its own document folder).

Is there a setting I can change to achieve what I want?

Re: N1MM+ with FLEX 6700 and SMART SDR V1.5.1.152

knightsof,

I agree with Pete. This is likely an underpowered computer or an RF issue.

I have never seen any like this when using a Flex 6700. In addition none of the other Flex 6000 series users and have reported issues like this.

The cause is almost certainly external to the program.  Typical causes include RFI (see if you can repeat the program without RF output), poor USB to serial adapters (avoid Priolific chipsets), and failure to disable USB power-down (the default in Win 7 is on, and this can cause havoc.).

I also had a COM 6 port occasionally reported not connected at times.

I was almost like a timeout or latency in the system.

Any suggestions?

Re: N1MM+ Sending CW to TS-590SG

John Bednar

John,

Due to the limitations, the KY command set is not supported to send CW.

You can send whatever command you like to the radio with function keys and the CAT macros. This includes the KY commands.

No, I was trying to do it through CAT1ASC KY commands. The research I did today confirms this is not supported, so I will be adding a keyer interface.

Thank you,

John
