Hi Andy, if you do not use voiced F-keys you need another means to switch TX focus and then make e g a voice call over the mic. In SSB trickier than in CW.

DUH  …  thank you Al!  I tried using the mouse wheel but didn’t scroll down enough  -  that fixed it.

Use the mouse wheel to set the resolution desired.  You can go all the way down to 1kHz.

Trying to set 7125 kHz as the bottom of the SSB band by right clicking on 7125 in the spot window – but can’t get anything  to display except 10 kHz increments – 7120, 7130, etc.  I see tick marks for each kHz in between 7120 and 7130, but can’t get 7125 to display so I can right click on it?

Thanks in advance for the help.  73,

 John,

Make sure that you have enabled the Logging program connection in ve7cc and the matching configuration for localport (127.0.0.1:port#) in N1MM+

ve7cc> "Configuration" / "Ports/Logging Program" / "Logging Program Connection"
Check Enable Telnet and configure port (default is 7300)

Turn off the Windows firewall to test that is the problem. Then create rules that will allow traffic to pass.

Re: #n1mm problem networking via inet and local #n1mm

Andy (KU7T)

Miguel,

Can you summarize please what is not working or what exact feature you would like? I am sorry, but having trouble fully understanding...

I have tried out remote operation with the Flex 6600 yesterday as well for the first time. Simple setup, no networking changes on either side, using SmartLink. Worked without a glitch doing SSB in the WPX contest. I even had my function key messages working... Because of the law of physics, there is a noticeable latency when you switch between RX and TX (network, SDR, etc.). However it is definitely usable, one can "make up" for it a little by changing the pace...

The one thing I have not tried, but I believe will not work via SmartLink is using the N1MM+ Spectrum window remote. Using a VPN or a relay of the data stream should give you that functionality too.

After read many post about this any end with problem solved. Now for Covid19 restriction we can use on cqwpxssb one flex 6600 working very good on remote (4700km) in last contest. I want try to offer one opportunity to n1mm because the spectrum is good for s&p, also the same n1mm send to flex scope the cluster estations with small audio cuts:-(
About remote qth, all antennas;‘radios amplifiers are all inside on qth but no it’s possible arribe for actual laws, the police and army are on the street:(
Y want to connect remotely to flex radio and another friend also; both with internet, maestro console or smartsdr software from Flex, this solved and tested before on big contest and work Finefine! THE PROBLEM we want change from dxlog to N1MM, the network not it’s possible configure without autodeted, port forwards on routers 12070, defined connections with host name in all computers, firewall down,
Cheeked that port 12070 is available from internet, the socket opens. Windows fw off; same contest; same cat but don’t connects

Only connect on same lan with auto discovery with this working
If you write any host, the same ips discovered again not connect : any problem in options -> Edit list ?

Re: BWQP error message

n7wy

I searched the N1MM website docs for VARYMSG without success in finding examples.

David provided -
F1 Cq,{CLEARRIT}{VARYMSG1&cq~cq~BW~*~*&CQ~CQ~BW~*~*~CQ~CQ~BW~*~*~BW&3&}
So, for David's F1 msg, there are only 2 parts to be varied - should the closing statement be &2&?

F2 Exch,~<<<{SENTRSTCUT}>>>~david~1685~<<<bk>>>&3&}
F2 is not a VARYMSG so the &3& at the end is extraneous as pointed out previously

His F3 message does not have & following MSG2, should it? This message only has 2 variations so should it end with &2&?

F3 Tu,{CLEARRIT}{VARYMSG2<<<{NAME}~tu>>>&<<<{NAME}~tu>>>~*~BW&3&}

I admit to wanting to use VARYMSG for a RTTY contest earlier this year, but got spooked by not finding examples.

Re: SO2R SSB 2 KB w Flex - How done?

Andy (KU7T)

I am not doing SSB much, but why do you need to switch the TX focus. Can't you just hit the key on the right keyboard in order for the correct "radio" to transmit?

The only time I need to do an explicit TX focus switch is for CW to use the paddle.
