Hi Carl - leading zeros in the log window is not a current option, but you should be seeing both sent and received exchanges.  In serial number contests, both should be displayed.  Is there a particular contest in which you're not seeing the sent serial number?

Re: Telnet Connection to K1TTT

Bill Walsh

Drew,

You are absolutely correct. I received a note from Dave, the owner and webmaster for K1TTT. It seems he opens the old port occasionally to find out who is trying to access it because it causes problems.

The telnet client apparently tries numerous times to connect causing the problems for his server.

The bottom line is that the correct URL for K1TTT is

K1TTT.NET:7373

The N1MM cluster list supplied with a new install and the updated cluster list are both incorrect.

I am posting this because when I first had problems I searched for a solution and found only posts saying the firewall may be to blame. Since, among other things, I could connect to other clusters, I determined the firewall was not the culprit. I wasted a lot of time in that investigation.

Thanks all for your assistance, and Happy Holidays.

Bill

Re: Logbook serials - help please

Les Elliott

Can’t help with the leading zeros, Carl, but if the contest uses Serial Nrs
they should appear in both the entry window and the log window.  In the
log window, to the right of the column headed ‘Snt’, the RS column.
The column widths are adjustable by placing the mouse pointer on the top
of the column separator, where it changes appearance and
holding the left mouse button down, slide left or right as required.
If that does not reveal the ‘Sent’ column, right-click in the log window and
click on Auto-Set Column Widths.
You will probably need to adjust the widths after that.

I spoke with K1TTT a few weeks ago, and he indicated he was/is the victim of a DDOS attack.  He has moved his node to a different port.  Send Dave an email an email for the correct port number.  K1TTT at ARRL.NET

1.0.5394

Tom - N1MM

Version 1.0.5394 (December 23, 2015)

1. Logger+ Audio: Removed the change in 1.0.5388 that allows playing
other wav file formats because of intermittant file in use errors.
(Coded by K3CT)
2. Configurer: fix for multi-ip broadcasts. If you are getting error
messages about broadcast addresses, open the configurer and "ok" out
of it to fix them (K1TTT) (Coded by N1MM)
3. UDC: correction to /BonusPoints/ parameter, "IsComment, +*" can be
used to add bonus points to /PointsPerContact/ (G4OGB) (coded by NA3M)

Re: Telnet Connection failed

Michael Adams

I’d suggest NOT adding KG4V-1 or KG4V-2 at this time.   They may be going away or getting new port numbers in mid-January.

(They’re the same node as KG4V anyay; just different default filters on the different ports.)

Stewart,

Parsing and playing callsigns requires additional wav files. It is described in the manual here:

http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-index.php?page=Stored+Messages+and+the+Function+Key+Message+Editor&structure=N1MM+Logger+Documentation

When the program finds the necessary files for advanced callsign voicing it will voice the ! macro. First it looks for the full callsign, then fragment wav files (prefix or letter group). The initial release note for this feature appeared earlier this year, April 28. Search this page for 1.0.4876.
