Re: Windoze Cleanup
HI Jim
One thing you can check is your computer 'rating'. It gives a view of how your computer is doing.
Not sure if it works on W10 the same as W7, but on my W7 machine, you left click the computer

Re: Windoze Cleanup
I've put SATA PATA drives in a number of systems at work.
The best price point at the moment is 128 GB. The price goes up exponentially at 256.

Re: Win 10 -- To Upgrade or Not?
If I were to "upgrade", I would backup, format and do a clean install of Windows 10. Never upgrade.
You can always download Windows 10 and install it later.

Re: Problem with installing MMTTY into N1MM+ logger.
The Digital Interface window is essential for digital modes - it's where the received text is displayed.
Look at the N1MM+ icon on the Windows Task Bar. In Windows 7, when N1MM+ is in a digital mode

Re: Windoze Cleanup
Yes, I've done that with two laptops, and a recently purchased refurb Thinkpad came with an SSD. AFAIK, SSDs only come with an SATA interface, and are not compatible with older machines that use PATA.

Consider upgrading the hard disk to a SSD, it can make an old slow PC very unable.

Rich,
Yes, you are correct. What I typed was incorrect the way we are configured is as you say. Thanks for catching it.

Windoze Cleanup
I've been doing some poking around in the last few days, and found how to speed up Windoze by turning off some Windoze nasties that burn cycles and made my machine boot and run a lot slower.

Bug report confirmation - should I get one?
Hi, I submitted a bug report, using the online form, for the UKEICC Exchange field overwrite issue.
Should I see a confirmation of receipt email? If not how do I know if it is being worked on?

Rich, the problem is precisely, I do not get a Digital Interface window, so I can not convert anything.

Re: Distributed multi-op
Art,
I think your setup is incorrect. Subject to correction as always, of course, I believe it should look like this:
PC1 Location
PC1 internal IP:12070
PC2 external IP:12 071
PC2 Location
PC1

Re: Problem with installing MMTTY into N1MM+ logger.
There is an Interface menu item in the Digital Interface window. Use that to select MMTTY instead of MMVARI.
