Broadcast spot info

DanM

Hello,

As of now, all actions on a Bandmap spot (Remove Selected Spot, Blacklist callsign, Remove Spots ThisBand/All Bands and so on) will broadcast a delete action message:
<action>delete</action>
Is it possible to differentiate these actions in the broadcast message ?
A third party software cannot differentiate between these two actions, for example:
1. Remove Selected Spot
2. Blacklist callsign
Although the result is different, 1 - will delete the spot from bandmap but it will display it again next time when is reported by the cluster, 2- will block the callsign to be displayed on bandmap, both operations broadcast the message: <action>delete</action>
It will be very useful if for "Blacklist callsign" the broadcast message is different, something like <action>blacklist</action> for example.

Thank you

Before you open new programs, right click on the executable install program and select the box OKing the program. Then install. That should fix your problem.

Mike,

With AHK, you can map a single keypress to a double or triple keypress.

You can also map a double keypress to a different double or triple keypress.

AutoHotKey is your friend.

I read the link on AHK you posted, but didn't see the exact example Kari and I would possibly need. I only gave it a cursory look, so maybe missed it.
Could AHK do this:
Take a single key (let's say it's the PrintScreen Key for sake of argument) and make it do CTRL+LEFT ARROW? (or CTRL+RIGHT ARROW) ?

ie: can I map a double key press to a single key press?

Ctrl+whichever arrow works perfectly for CW Paddle focus,(or footswitch focus) but I agree...it's tiring in a long contest.
If I could redo 2 seldom or unused keys for paddle focus (CW) or for footswitch focus (in SSB) contests, where immediately after transmitter key down, was going to be live audio from the op and not a F key, this would also work well if doable.

Many thanks for the advice.

I would add/track this finding by opening a trouble ticket... I have really liked seeing the tickets I have opened get tracked and fixed, including suggestions:

If you add it, it keeps someone else from transcribing into the tracking system.

Problem solved.

Spectrum display in Logger+ seems to follow the band edge setting in the IC-7300.

FYI I have my IC-7610 setup with dual Spectrum Displays Vertically in place of the Bandmaps.  Besides displaying callsigns I can see which are active.

John, Larry, and the other John -
I suspect a lot of CWT participants, CWops members and others, have been using a function key file created months ago.  Hence, we don't even bother trying to load a CWTS.mc file since N1MM's slick design handles this automatically from one CWT to the next.  Additionally, the mechanism for loading a .MC file from the Associated Files tab is relatively recent.
Keep up honing the great N1MM logger+ application, we love it !

Re: band button in entry window, fixed

John Bednar

Jerry,

I do see something odd occurring when the Bandmap window is open and the program is closed. I will look at this.

I just tested without restarting and the frequency by mode seems to be working correctly. For those that disagree check these items:

Do you have the contest set for digital modes? Open the contest dialog and look at the MODE dropdown. Is it set to a mode that includes “digital”?

I have the left hand side of this window set to “Use contest or radio mode”. Other settings may also be OK, just noting my setting.

To store the digital frequency by mode the right hand side of the Config, Mode Control tab window needs to be set correctly for RTTY and digital modes.

If you type RTTY in the callsign box and press ENTER does the radio switch to the correct mode for RTTY? If not, select the correct setting until this is correct. The frequency store by mode can not work properly if you don’t associate the radio mode to program mode correctly.

If you type PSK31 in the callsign box and press ENTER does the radio switch to the correct mode for Digi modes? If not repeat the above.

Select a contest with CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK modes and set the mode selector to CW+SSB+digital.

I noted the last used frequency on two bands and switched mode on a different band. When I returned to those bands and mode the frequency was correct.

Subject: Re: [N1MM+] band button in entry window, fixed

Good evening all,

Well, with more testing I have found that I can create the problem of the 20 meter frequency button in the Band Panel defaulting to 14.200 MHz, and by the same token I can eliminate the problem.

What causes the problem is the Band Map window.

In RTTY mode, if the Band Map window is CLOSED when N1MM logger closes, then all band buttons in the Band Panel will be at the last used frequency when N1MM is started agaicw

n.,

However, by the same token, if the Band Map window is open when N1MM is closed, then the 20 meter frequency button in the Band Panel will default to 14.200 MHz.

I have run this exercise many times and it always follows that if the Band Map window is OPEN when closing N1MM, 20 meter Band Panel button will default to 14.200 MHz, and conversely when the Band Map window is closed when N1MM is closed, then, the next time N1MM is started, the 20 meter Band Panel button will be at the last used frequency.

I don't have a solution to the problem, but at least I can have a way to prevent it from giving me any more problems.
