Perhaps that is what's happening. I see this on other groups.io reflectors too.

I realize I'm in the minority here, but I do 95% of my groups.io work online and so never see dupes.

Why you'll see dupes is, if I (or anyone) edits their online message for ANY reason. (Adds a word, corrects a typo, etc) then a second email is sent, but not a 2nd online message. The difference in the Emails may be very subtle, so that's why you think its an exact replica, but probably isn't.

Reminds me of my first US Air Force assignment at Galena AFS in the northern interior of Alaska as the communications officer.  A perennial problem in many of the pre-WW2 buildings, and especially the very large wooden hangar by the ramp was unidentified telephone and teletype wiring.  The established protocol was to cut the cable and wait a few days to see if anyone complained.  That may be the only protocol available to Tom and crew to try and keep the contest choices limited to active contests. Hi Joe,

I think it is done automatically for all your S&P contact, as long as you are connected to your telnet cluster. (After connecting, you should minimalism Telnet window if unassisted)...
In N1MM Ligger Classic there was Spot It button in EW and somewhere in config option to choose automatical spotting of S&P Qs...

Afterwards export ALL qso´s from the general logger (I use DXkeeper) - set up a new N1MM+ and import everything into one dx contest - I do it regularly and use N1MM+ as ONLY logging program - it works very fine!
I do not need anything anymore for logging - N1MM+ is the best for it imho :)

I’ve been getting them for weeks.  I delete them.  I figured the person went back to make an edit and started, then cancelled the edit, yet mail went out anyway.    I am on many *groups.io.  I don’t recall which ones I get them from.  I take your word N1MM is one of them.

Thanks for replies.  I will work with it again this evening.  I do know the radios were in CW mode and the program listed CW also.  I know the COM port of the WinKeyer was unchanged because I verified that with one of it's utility programs and there was no change.  I am at my work  now and will look again at settings this evening.

Or better yet, get a real general logger, and import your contest logs into it.  That will serve you much better.

Hank, the key is to export them outside N1MM preferably to online logging sites with de-duping and powerful search tools. Keeping your grand consolidated log in N1MM is a bad choice.

1: File -> Export -> Export ADIF to file -> Export ADIF to file by date from ALL contests

2: put in a date ridiculously early like Jan 1 1900

3: Upload the resulting ADIF to Clublog and LOTW.

4: repeat steps 1-4 above for each database

Now, Clublog and LOTW have your grand consolidated log. whenever you want to research when you’ve worked a guy before, or worked what countries on which bands, go to LOTW and/or Clublog and run the query using their excellent tools.

If you have to change the COM port for radio control in N1MM+ to avoid a conflict with WSJT-X, you are not following the N1MM+ procedure correctly. The instance of WSJT-X that is run from N1MM+  should not be using any COM port, it should be doing its radio control via N1MM+. See <https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/manual-windows/wsjt-x-decode-list-window/#setup-checklist>.

I then call up the WSJT-X decode window in N1MM. WSJT-X will now dupe check with any worked stations in my N1MM log even though N1MM is no longer serially linked to my K3. Any station I work is automatically downloaded from WSJT-X to N1MM with the correct frequency and mode information. It works perfectly every time.

To insure accurate dupe checking I must make sure that N1MM is on the same band as WSJT-X. I can see what band N1MM is on by looking at the bandmap. If it's not on the correct band I can change the band on N1MM by merely typing in any frequency in the band in the N1MM entry window.

I had something very similar happen to me a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden winkeyer stopped operating. Checked com port and winkeyer settings and everything looked ok. Gave up in the end and went to single usb cable keying of the 7610 which worked perfectly.

I hope someone can point out the error of my ways.  I swear that I have not changed the configuration of my station since ARRL 160 but I can no longer key the transmitter with the program as of tonight.  I was hoping to test the setup before operating in the 160 contest this weekend.

Briefly, two transmitters single operator.   TS890=1, K3=2.  Both rigs key with Winkeyer and transmit as long as N1MM is not active.  As soon as N1MM is started, both radios are recognized, frequencies read, can click to change frequency, etc. In other words all looks normal ready to go BUT no CW is transmitted, that is my hand key is not operating either rig and F keys send no CW.

Both rigs are set to N1MM suggested port configuration and only WinKeyer has CW/Digi checked.  Winkeyer is Always ON, Always ON.

If I set PTT for CW, the rig ptt turns on the transmitter but no CW sent by the way.

What is going on here?  Thanks.

Re: 3 Rigs, one computer?

I am and use it.  But it still does not solve the problem. I have four radios that need to be connected.  My current solutions is:

Computer 1 SO2R with K3s on 6m and FT1000MP & 222 transverter

Computer 2 SO2R with IC9100 on 144/432 and SunSDR & transverters for 903/1296 (and higher bands in the future)

Having to switch headsets is a PITA but at least everything works and logs. If somebody made a 4 radio to one headset box with a way to chose which two radios, that would help a lot.

If you navigate the internet  http://minitest.narod.ru/  is one page in Russian with rules. However I'm not the right person translate but all the times in UTC and frequency bands are OK. So please make it visible again in N1MM
