Have made a udc file that is cleared from most not needed data but thee adif file still has info not needed

As i read data to transfer log from pc to pc

Any way to get that to stay out of this adif (for this udc file)

Re: Spectrum window with remote flex

The spectrum window has the ability to relay spectrum data from a copy of N1MM+ in a PC at the radio site to the spectrum window in N1MM+ in the PC at the operator site. The UDP broadcasts give you a way to synchronize the copies of N1MM+ at both locations. The bottom line is that the PC that generates the spectrum data does not have to be the same as the PC that is doing the logging - the two can be at different locations.

There is a document called "How to configure a Remote Spectrum Display for N1MM.pdf" in the Additional Support Files directory on the N1MM+ web site that describes this. This document was written for a different hardware configuration (Airspy-HF+ SDR with a conventional transceiver), but the principles for communicating between the two copies of N1MM+ should apply in other hardware configurations as well.

Re: Spectrum window with remote flex

N1MM+ will mark *signals* on the spectrum and allow you to jump from signal to signal.  It will also hide signal markers for non-workable spots.  Using this capability without external spots will not put you in the assisted class. If you are not assisted, the only "spots" you will see are those stations you worked and calls you entered and tuned away from. This is still a major advantage.

CWT is a good place to test this.

State Field missing in Exported ADIF files for AZ and PA QSO parties.

Ben

A couple of weeks ago I played around with N1MM in a couple of QSO parties   AZ and PA.

I want to import this data into Ham Radio Deluxe and then into LOTW  to use in pursuit of WAS as well as county hunting.

In the Exported ADIF files I do not see State as one of the fields Exported and within N1MM I do not see any way to add it within N1MM.

Being that I was out of state for these contests and N1MM recognized that I was out of state when I set up the contest lots (New Log in Database choose State QSO party and then the proper state) etc.   I would expect an each QSO record entry in the ADIF file with   <state:2>AZ   in the exported file for the AZ QSO Party   and   <state:2>PA   for the PA QSO Party

In the AZ contest  AZ is present in a field  <SECTION:2>AZ
In the PA contest  There is no mention of PA......

AZ is close but why is it called Section ???

Am I missing something or do I need to plan on manually manipulating log files if I plan to use N1MM ??

Forget flag "Reverse I/Q"

Hi, i'm using FT-5000 with Airspy HF through IF and i'm really satifistied because now it's perfecty syncronized with my CAT. (tnx VE3KI)

I found a software issue inside the spectrum settings, each time i start N1MM+ i have to flag the "Reverse I/Q" field, it's always empty (see picture)

It's necessary stays always ON, N1MM+ doesn't remember this last setting.

A request: Is it possible to add fields in spectrum and set value of IF for USB and LSB mode?

Thank You in advance, IU3BTY Val

Rich, My point exactly (though I didn't explain it as well as you).  In 41 yrs as a ham I have never, ever sent my on-air name as "Michael".

Now, I don't mind the odd "GE Mike", or whatever (like every few hours), but if it's this gentlemens' intention to send every single persons name back them, I just
wanted to let them know it's poor etiquette as Hank has pointed out.

OK, this is now straying too far from N1MM+ software and I'll QRX.  Thanks for the B/W guys.

It’s even worse for me. Some of you may know my contest call, K6MMM. We do a lot of funny stuff with “Monkey-Monkey-Monkey”, but it’s annoying when someone sends “Hello, Monkey” (especially on CW or RTTY), because a lookup of the call gives the official name of the “club” as “Monkey Lover’s Radio Consortium”.

Although a hearty “Hooo! Hooo! Hooo!” on sideband is always appreciated.

Full disclosure, in CWTS, FD, etc I will sometimes send the ops name.( not real contests)

In major contests I may send a "dit dit" to a select few folks if I am the runner. I may drop one or 2 names over 2000-3000 Qs

Sending everyones name ( if that is your intention??) is a not a very good idea.

Maybe I misunderstood....but I have copied "Hello Michael" when contacting completely unknown stns on RTTY, CW & SSB stns before and I am never impressed.

Apologies if I got this wrong somehow.

Yes. Here is something I wrote for NCJ a bunch of years ago.

The Amateur is Friendly. What’s the best way to be friendly? It depends. My rule for contests is that completing the contact in shipshape fashion as quickly as possible is the most friendly thing I can do for the other guy and for the other guys waiting. And, it’s generally the most friendly thing you can do for me. The running station sets the tone. If the CQing station, even if he’s my best friend, sends me a standard-issue exchange, the most friendly thing is to send him a standard-issue exchange without pleasantries. If he says HI HANK, then he’s giving me the go-ahead to loosen up a (little) bit. It’s a contest—be contest friendly during the event and regular friendly afterwards.

Contest Exuberantly,

Hank, W6SX

ReSync incomplete #n1mm

PA3L

Hello,

Intro:
I am not very active on forums etc, but have been an active user of N1MM for many years at PI4DEC.
Since I am "the IT guy" at the club, I try to understand and explain N1MM as good as possible to my fellow-members. We even have N1MM workshops.

Problem:
During the contest and after, we keep seeing "Resync incomplete" messages in the networking window after resyncing (sometimes pc's get rebooted for some user-reason)
It also keeps saying that hours have failed and the same amount of hours is fixed.
It's unclear to me if it means that it fixed the hours that failed, because the next resync it keeps saying the same thing.

I would love to know how I should interpret this behavior.
Many thanks for the nice software.

There might be some user trap in here.

At some point on Sunday, I was watching the Telnet window and I noticed that all my spots where grey, except a few.

I restarted N1MM and it went back to normal and my band map had more data in it.

We do not post any contest results on the N1MM Logger website. You should check with the sponsors of the contest that you ran.

How long after log submission does it take for results to show up on the web page?  A number of my club colleagues have their results up, but mine do not show.
