Thanks. Tried this too. Did not solve the problem. I think something is wrong with the KIOB3 board. The USB is working as I have full rig control. When I press a Macro I Key the K3s, audio our is just too low.

I am setting up for our VP5W CQWW Contest and I am having a problem getting the audio into my K3s (Line in) from my Laptop using an N1MM wave file. I have tried both using both the Codec USB and a separate stereo plug  - Line in.

1. I am keying the radio

2. I can hear the voice - although very low from the K3s in Monitor

3. I have the K3s set for Mic+Line  - On

4. If I use the computer speakers, the recorded message is fine.

I am thinking I have a setting wrong in the K3s?

Any suggestions where to look?

Re: Cannot send CW F key messages in Split mode on K3

KY7M Lee

I isolated the problem to the N1MM Mode Control tab.  When "Use radio mode (default)" is selected, it will not send F key messages in SPLIT setting on CW.  When SPLIT is selected on the K3, the header on the N1MM logging window shows "Contact Mode () <> Contest mode (MIXED)!"  I am using a DX log in N1MM for general logging on our remote station for CW, Phone, and Digital QSOs.

When I change the Mode Control setting in N1MM to "Use Contest or Radio Mode" or "Always CW" it works normally for sending the F key CW messages in SPLIT setting.

Lee, KY7M

Re: Cannot send CW F key messages in Split mode on K3

ve3ki

How did you activate Split? You should always activate Split from N1MM+ using the Ctrl+S command, not by using the Split button on the radio. Likewise, you should exit from Split mode using the Ctrl+Alt+S command, not by turning Split off from the radio. Trying to control Split mode from the radio instead of from the software can lead to mismatches between the software and the radio.

Are you in SO2V or SO1V? In SO2V, it is particularly important to use software commands and not the radio buttons to control split operation and choose VFOs, and it is important to make sure that both Entry Windows are in the same mode if you want to operate Split from one of them.

Are you sure VFO B and VFO A are in the same mode? It is quite possible for VFO B to be in SSB mode while VFO A is in CW, in which case the software will detect the mode mismatch, causing it to refuse to transmit in split mode. If the radio's CW-in-SSB feature is enabled, you will be able to send CW from the paddle in this situation, but the program will still refuse to send CW function key messages.

Rich VE3KI

S & P Problem

AI9T

Trying to operate in the Jarts RTTY. I'm having a problem when I right click in the Digital Interface to send my Call Twice. When I do this if there is a call in the window above the call field it puts the call in the field and sends his call then mmy call twice. When I right click I only want it to send my call and not his. I had this problem last week in the Makrothen test as well. Hope this makes some sense. I must have change something that I'm not aware of.

I'm not clicking on the call Just clicking in the window so it will send my call. If there is a call in the field above the call entry it is placing it in call field then sending that call then mine. Normally I would right click to send my call then left click on his call to put it in the entry field.

Steve..

This was changed a couple of weeks ago as a user pointed out it was not consistent across all modes. In the mark contest was the first contest that I worked with the change in place. It drove me nuts… If you right click in the DI window to send your call and a call is in the on-deck box it drops down automatically instead of sending your call like you want..

I’m not sure if I want to remove it or add a setting bypassing it if the user wants.

Subject: [N1MM+] S & P Problem

Trying to operate in the Jarts RTTY. I'm having a problem when I right click in the Digital Interface to send my Call Twice. When I do this if there is a call in the window above the call field it puts the call in the field and sends his call then mmy call twice. When I right click I only want it to send my call and not his. I had this problem last week in the Makrothen test as well. Hope this makes some sense. I must have change something that I'm not aware of.
