Rick:

WSJT-X is handling the radio, although I start it separately from N1MM.  Since I only have one COM port to work with, I can't have both programs connecting to the radio.  Is there something special that N1MM does when starting WSJT-X that isn't done if I directly start it?

Ron..

Are you running WSJT from within N1MM or are you running it outside of it and just logging into N1MM??

By inside I mean loading via the windows menu and letting it handle radio control.

18MHz as 16M band in general logging

Justin EI3CTB

Hello,

I have noticed that when using N1MM+ for general logging that 18 MHz converts to 16m band instead of 17m.  I am sending JTDX QSOs to my Ham Radio Deluxe log via N1MM+ and notice this issue only on this band.

As 17m is not a contest band this would not normally be an issue but as 12m and 30m are logging correctly as there must be something up with 17m!

Is there any setting I can use to correct this or is it just a bug?

Does N1MM auto create a backup file with configuration settings saved in case of a corruption? I see where databases are saved but looking for a previous settings backup

John,

As you pointed:
---quote---
When voicing the callsign, it will play full callsign or callsign letter combinations if they exist (k3.wav, ct.wav, or k3ct.wav)
---unquote---

Could you please share how should look the SSB function key F5 ?

With me,
F5 His Call,{OPERATOR}\{CALL}.wav,!
doesn't work, 5 files are to be played in serial "K3CT.wav+K.wav+3.wav+C.wav+T.wav" / (k3.wav nor ct.wav will be called).

It would be great to have some examples about function keys F2 and F5 regarding the following options just mentioned the manual chapter

Function Keys, Messages and Macros

---quote---
1. You can optionally also record a file called strokep.wav for the “/P” (portable) indicator (e.g. to send “stroke portable”, instead of “stroke papa” with the separate stroke.wav amd P.wav files).
2.
If the Entry window callsign exists as a callsign.wav or a character group fragment (two or more characters/numbers) in this directory, the character group wav file is played when voicing the callsign. If any unvoiced remaining characters exist, they will be voiced as individual letter wav files.
---unquote---

Thanks in advance !

Re: N1MM interfaces #n1mm

Terry Glagowski / W1TR / AFA1DI

Dennis,

I use 2 serial ports to control the TS-2000…

Port #1 goes directly to the TS-2000 for CAT control, USB to Serial, to Gender Changer…

actually I now use VSPE to virtualize my ports now so that multiple applications can access them, but this all worked before I started using VSPE.

Port #2 goes to the RigBlaster Pro where the TxD (FSK), DTR (CW Key), and RTS (PTT) signals are routed inside the RigBlaster Pro to the corresponding signals in the TS-2000.

The WinKeyer3 USB uses the CW-KEY and PTT on the RigBlaster Pro back panel.

I have not tried WinKeyer3.1 USB FSK RTTY yet.

The Audio from the computer and radio are routed thru the RigBlaster Pro according to the instructions.

Audio from the microphone goes into the RigBlaster Pro and then to the Microphone Jack of the TS-2000x.

I use N1MM+ integrated with the various digital programs (FLDIGI, MMTTY, MMVARI).

I also use FLDIGI standalone without N1MM (also with the W1TR FLDIGI_UDP program for CAT control of the Palstar HF-AUTO and Ameritron ALS-1306, and Ameritron RCS antenna switches).

You can configure N1MM+ to use WinKeyer or direct serial port keying… your choice, use of real FSK requires a special driver that N1MM uses to generate the FSK signals (EXTFSK?)

Thanks Terry...  Do you use the RigBlaster Pro and the WinKeyer at the same time?  Or does either one do the whole job?
I'm currently trying to use the N1MM keying but the Semi Breakin doesn't seem to work.. It still acts like Full Break In... When
I plug the paddle into the same jack the Semi Breakin works fine.... Maybe that means I have to get a WinKeyer to do the job...
But you say the keying with N1MM works fine.... What might I be doing wrong with the TS-2000 setup?
Thanks

Re: Spectrum Window Radio Label?

Actually, sometimes the title bar reads something like "Elecraft Radio 2..." which is what I want, but other times it reads "Airspy Spectrum Monitor 959590456 @ 127.0.0.1:5555" which doesn't identify the radio/VFO. What condition triggers the change?

Re: [N1MMLoggerPlus] Background process

I renamed a bak file from May 12 and replaced the current .ini file, rebooted, restarted N1MM+.  It still locked up on close.  All of the windows showed red in the X in the upper right corner but nothing happened.  Had to close with Task Manager.  Tried it twice.  Same result.  This is after uninstalling the old N1MM folder and the new N1MM folder and reinstalling 7717.

I installed N1MM+ 7717 on my laptop and it closes like its supposed to.  (It is a Lenovo Ideapad running i5 8300H CPU @2.3 GHz 8Gb RAM, Windows v1809 OS Build 17763.437)

Any new ideas?

Thanks

I loaded 7717, rebooted twice, with no change. This time in task manager and directly, I was able to close each window but the entry window.  I still have to close it with Task Manager which registers the app as suspended before closing.  When I try to close the window under the File menu or by click on the X in the top right, the cursor ceases to work anywhere in the window.

Still hoping for insight

Do you have the bottom two settings on the broadcast data tab select. These are for use with WSJT and JTDX. Uncheck them and restart N1MM. This should have been fixed in the build on Tuesday but I guess not on some systems..

For my K3's (originals, not K3S's), I use a YCCC SO2R box.  Without it, I likely wouldn't bother with an interface - just a serial connection, and audio cables to an extra/USB sound card/fob...and maybe a winkeyer.

When I used an Icom 7000, I used a Navigator.  Nice gadget, but overkill for more recent rigs.

Here are my Radio Settings:

Radio settings:
USB Serial Function - CI-V
Data Mod - USB
CI-V Baud Rate - 19200
CI-V Address - 94h
CI-V USB - Remote Transceive Address 00h
CI-V USB Port - Unlink from [Remote]
CI-V USB Baud Rate - 115200 (Required by N1MM for Spectrum Display)
CI-V USB Echo Back - On
USB Send - RTS
USB Keying CW - DTR
USB Keying RTTY - DTR
Inhibit Timer at USB Connection - On
RTTY Decode Baud Rate - 19200

Any suggestions what to look at?
