you create a new log and use dx in the time between ctest..if you dont use another log for casual operating.

or have separate databases for each ctest.

Two things:

1. You need to have PTT configured so that the program can put the rig into transmit while the wav file is playing.

2. You need to configure the program to use the sound card output that is connected to your radio's audio input, not the sound card output that is connected to your speakers. This could be the same sound card output that you are using in digital modes (unless your only digital mode is FSK RTTY and you don't have an audio path set up for transmit). You get to the place where you set this up by using the Config > Logger+ Audio Setup menu item. If you don't see this menu item, first check the Config > Use Logger+ Audio menu item, then the Setup menu item will appear. The place where you set the sound card output you will use is under the Playback tab.

OK thanks for this.  I'll have to look at it.  Sorry for the long delay in responding but I've got a ton of other projects going, (ham, radio clubs, other hobbies, personal), and I just have not gotten around to this.

I do key FSK but also have a direct connection and path to the microphone jack through the Rigblaster Advantage.  I am not sure if I can pass audio to the microphone jack without going into "digital mode".  When I go into digital mode I switch from Microphone Audio to FSK with an MFJ switch.  The only thing active at the microphone in digital is the PTT.

No room for any new "wires"!  I had hoped that there was another 1000 MP user out there who would say, "this is how I did it".

Thanks again,

The groups.io web site allows you to view messages in two different arrangements: by topic ("thread"), or as a list of single messages.

By default, it comes up here in Topics view, which means there is only one line in the display for each subject line or message title, regardless of how many messages there are on that topic. There is a small number in a black dot beside the topic title that indicates how many messages there are in the topic, and of course as new messages are added to the topic, that number changes. I believe the colour of the title also changes from black to blue. Both of these are fairly subtle if considered as indications that a new message has been posted. If this is not a sufficient indication to you, or if you prefer to browse messages chronologically, you might prefer Messages view.

To switch to Messages view, find the dark blue Topics button above the list of messages and click on the down arrow. You will see a list of choices - the one you are most likely to want is Messages. This switches the display to individual messages in chronological order. The titles of messages you have not yet read are in blue (black after the message has been opened), so if you habitually use this view you can tell where you last left off browsing. Once you open a message in Messages view, there are forward and back arrows at the top right that you can use to move up and down the list. This view is the one that is most similar to the Yahoo web interface.

If you are in Messages view and find a message where you want to follow the history of the thread, look at the top left where the dark blue button will now be labelled Single. Click on the down arrow and select Topics, and you will be returned to Topics view. There will be a vertical blue bar beside the topic of the message you just came from, and you can open that topic and scroll down through all of the messages in the topic.

Difference in postings between yahoo groups and the new site

For several days when checking both sites I see things in the normal format on yahoo groups but in a different format on the new site.  Specifically, many of the thing posted on the old site are not showing up on the new one.  For example, there is something about wave files today on the old site but I can't find it on the new site. Sorry for the bandwidth ... but what I am doing wrong or missing?

The original posting by K1KP was about the Bandmap window. Your's is about the Available window. There is a difference. When you click "Bands and Modes" is it set appropriately ? Are your SSB subbands set correctly ? Were the spots showing up in the Bandmap ? Can you reproduce the problem now ?

Check the frequency of the reference oscillator in the two MPs.  See tech supplement manual alignment instructions for procedure.

Hi,

During tonight's RSGB Club Calls Data (PSK & RTTY) contest, I noticed a number of times when N1MM+ (latest version) tried to log the same serial number as the previous QSO. I couldn't get it to increment the serial until I did a "rescore current contest". This has never happened to me before and at least one other member of our club had the same problem (and another member had it during the previous RSGB CC contest). I am running a Flex 6500 in S02R mode but I am fairly sure the others are running a single VFO.

Any ideas what may be causing this? I have been using N1MM+ almost flawlessly on a weekly basis for a couple of years now and this is the first time I have had anything like this happen and it really ruins the 'flow'?

According to the release notes for 1.0.7099 (released today):

"Fix serial number incrementing for RTTY contests. (VE2FK) (Coded by N2IC)"

Hopefully that is now sorted!

Hi Guys

I used V1.0.6794.0 and ran for the whole CC contest and it worked OK.

I understand from our club stations. That the problem was only prominent in the latest version v1.07080 (but only if you used S&P modes) the stations that operated as run for the whole event (do not seem to be affected).

….I clicked on the SH DX 120 button in the Telnet window…
This always is an indication that your program settings filtered out the incoming spots.

If you selected a single Mode filter in the Telnet window, valid spots can be ignored because the wrong mode was assigned.

Non-N1MM Logger telnet spots do not contain mode information. For these spots, the program determines the mode with the frequency ranges that the USER sets.

Look at the frequency bar of the Bandmap window. Using the default program colors the frequency bar text will be CW = blue, Digital = magenta, phone = black.

Did you both have the frequency ranges set correctly?

I was on the RSGB 80m CC Data last night with no serial number problems. I wonder what versions those who found problems were using? I am on V1.0.6794.0. I hadn't used N1MM for a while before last night's contest. I was offered and upgrade as I started N1MM which I declined as I was very short of time.

Re: Suggestion

Gerald Boutin (VE1DT)

The program is already working as it should.

MARK is for stations you do NOT want to work. We want to avoid them, not jump to them in the bandmap. For stations I might still need to work, but don't want to wait for the full call, I put in something like DX1, DX2 or the partial call.

Perhaps the addition of a MAYBE spot would be helpful. Instead of entering a partial call or doing a MARK, we could just flag the frequency as a MAYBE  which would results in with a "?? at 05:47:15". Those MAYBE spots would be included  when jumping up/down in the bandmap.

Subject: [N1MMLoggerPlus] Setting adjustment "Not Responding"

Morning all,

When I go into
Config>Logger+ Audio setup

all is fine, I can make any and all adjustments as wanted but for one.

When I check the box to gather all the wav files before playing, It gets the check mark, and then when I choose to close the window by hitting the large "X" in the upper right of the window it doesn't close and I get in the title bar the "Not Responding" message.

It never goes away, and the only way to get away is to totally close the whole program by right clicking it in the task bar and close window(s)

When re-opening this to see if the box is still checked and it is not.

Thoughts?
