Re: Telnet not working.

Ken,

Hmmm, the Network Status window opens displaying the list of connected stations and the Master station column.

You also need to open the Telnet window on every station. The Telnet window can be minimized or visible.

Hey guys,

John, W0ZZ figured out the problem:

Windows

  Network Status

     Stations

         Master Check Box

The master check box was unchecked, and this locked me out of the spotting network.  As soon as this check box was checked, then all was normal and I can log into any spotting network again.

This is the most hidden check box in the world!!!

Re: Won't start

John Bednar

Tim,

The yahoo reflector has been down.

Don’t run the installers from the web. Always download and save the installer programs to your hard disk.

If you are doing a fresh install. You need to download the Full Installer and the Latest Update installer. Run the Full Installer, reboot if the ending message tells you to do so. Run the Latest Update Installer. Then start the program for the first time.

If your anti-virus program has attacked the installer programs that you have on your hard disk. The program will never install correctly.

If you have a Documents\N1MM Logger+ directory with corrupt files, reinstalling won’t help. Rename this directory before running the installers.

I tried turning off all the Antimalware programs..., uninstalled and reintalled...same problem....does not create the N1MM Logger.ini file....(I made sure I could see hidden files)....I could create my own ini file if I knew what to put in it...
When I run it....nothing happens...
Thanks,

Tom,

Many of the Yahoo groups I belong to have switched over to groups.io. Is that worth considering for N1MM

Thanks for the reply Les. Yes I have checked the docs but my problem is that both N1MM and HRD are asking for the same comport that the IC7000 is using (COM28 in this case). com0com can pair comports but I can't figure out from the readme exactly how this is done.

Have you looked at the documentation, N1MM+ web pages>Documents>Digging Deeper>Supported Radios

Make sure HRD is not running when trying to set up.

Hi,

I'm using HRD to control my IC7000 but I would like to use Logger+ instead of the HRD logger. My IC7000 is set up as COM28 and HRD connects to it fine but how do I connect Logger+ to the same comport?

I have com0com installed but not sure how to set it up with the existing COM28 port.

Any help appreciated - thanks

Flex CW speed control

Bob Kupps

Hi the CW message function keys on our keyboard controlling the Flex 6700/maestro work OK but the speed control has no effect. The 'use winkey speed pot' box is checked in the config setup, but the other 2 options have no effect either. Any suggestions?

Re: Logging Error in CQWWSSB

gbyahoo@...

Joe,

If you just want an ADIF for importing into something like a general purpose logger, you could use a Cabrillo to ADIF converter. Check here.

You could also export the CQWWSSB ADIF and edit it the same way you did the Cabrillo if you need it back in N1MM. To avoid duplicate qsos in a database, which isn't permitted, you would need to then create a new database and open a new CQWWSSB log and import the ADIF.

I just realized, when we ran CQWWSSB a few weeks ago, when we did it
at a friends house, he had the log all set and ready to roll.  We ran
the contest and when it was all done generated the Cabrillo and ADIF
files, to send to the contest sponsors, and import to the main log.

BUT..... While everything we sent over the air was correct, he forgot to
change databases, and all the contacts were logged as his stations call,
not the call we actually used.

In the Cabrillo file, that was easy to fix, a simple find & replace.
Take his call out and insert the right one. Like I said all RF wise was
fine just wrong database.

But the ADIF file,,,, what would be the easiest way to fix that so we
can put all these contacts into the stations log correctly?

I must credit and thank John, W0ZZ for finding this.  Apparently in prior versions this box was checked by default.  I spent a lot of time looking for this, so I hope my experience will help some other suffering soul!

Problem found:
Windows
Network Status
Stations
Master Checkbox
Be sure that it is checked!

Then telnet spotting works fine.

Lost Log

Dennis W1UE

Was trying to change the name of the S3 database for my trip to HR9.  Unfortunately, somehow I screwed things up and can't get back my log.  Every time I try to log it, I get a little box with "A possible problem has occurred [Update Contest Grid].  Please stop and restart N1MM+ Logger.  If this reoccurs, please contact the N1MM development team."

So, I am.

N1MM+ NOT TALKING TO RADIO

tom4951@...

Well after about 2 years and using a new computer I am trying to get N1MM+ to run and having the following problem.

My computer is using Windows 7 Pro with a Vantec 2-port serial PCIe host card connected to a Yaseu FT1000MKV.

The ports are installed correctly but neither com port sees the radio. So, I don't know if the PCI card is not really a RS232 or not but it says it is.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Jerry,

A DVK does not have the flexibility of a sound card or radio codec.

Your function key text is wrong. The code is not sending three commands.
Here is a sentence from the manual (Macros section).
“You can not place more than one CAT1ASC or CAT2ASC macro in a function key
message”

This portion of your message looks like a typing error:
{cat{cat1asc swh37;}

Record everything in one message and played one DVK message.

If you must send three radio commands see the manual instructions. Here is
the link:

Subject: [N1MMLoggerplus] Looking for some programming help with switch
emulation coding

Hello,

I am trying to get the following commands to work using N1MM function keys.

What I want to do is using the SWT or SWH codes is to press and hold the rec
button on the radio which will switch memory bank to two, push the M1 button
to play the recorded voice, and then switch the memory bank back to one.

This is the code I have so far.

F5 Prec,{cat1asc swh37;}{cat1asc swt21;}{cat{cat1asc swh37;}

What I had found though was that N!MM spits out the code too fast and the K3
does  not have enough time to finishing processing the first cat1asc
command. Clearly I will need a delay between each of th e three “cat1asc”
codes so that the K3 will process each cat command and then be ready to
accept the next command.

So the question is; does the K3 have a method to introduce delay that I can
use on the N1MM function key string of commands so that the K3 can process
each command or does N1MM have a way to process each separate cat command in
a function key using a delay command of N1MM making?

So if there is a solution, it may lie with either N1MM, Elecraft or both so
I am posting to both lists.

Best regards,

Jerry Knowlton, W1IE
