Yes. K1GQ provides that capability for SO2V mode in his contest logging software SkookumLogger for the Mac. (Within SkookumLogger, SO2V is called 1T2R.) For tracking of VFO B by the P3 to function properly, however, the P3 has to be in Fixed Tracking mode.

(The main receiver does not need to be silenced often, because one wouldn't be listening to the subreceiver if someone were calling.) However, it would be really useful to be able to see CW signals on the P3, with a 10 kHz span, when tuning the band with VFO B. As far as I can tell, the P3 only tracks VFO A, so nothing can be seen if VFO B is outside the span range. Is there a way to make it keep the VFO B cursor on the screen, in both the tracking and fixed modes, without setting the span wider?

I think you may be confusing the Bandmap with the Available Qs and Mult window. By design, the "Available" window has always only shown Available callsigns.

The Bandmap shows all Qs' worked and unworked.

Re: "Record on the fly" using FTdx-5000 internal DVK?

John Bednar

Mark,

Recording on the fly, voicing letters/numbers, etc are features used with soundcard and radio codec devices not internal or external DVKs.

Use the radio buttons to record the DVK messages.

When using CatMacros, the program does not know the function of the radio command(s). If you use the radio DVK the program does not know that a voice/CW/RTTY message is playing nor does it know when it ends. If CQ repeat is enabled and the function key contains a CatMacro, the CQ repeat timer starts when the key is pressed. So the CQ repeat time will need to be extended to include the message duration.

Subject: [N1MMLoggerplus] "Record on the fly" using FTdx-5000 internal DVK?

Good day, everyone:

I would like to switch from using computer sound cards for voice messaging to the internal radio "DVK" in the Yaesu Ftdx-5000s.

It looks like I need to add macro commands to the Function Key files for F1-F5 (or F1-F4 and F7) of the form:

  • {CAT1ASC PB0#;} (where # is a number 1 - 5 for message 1 - 5)

Does anyone have a working ".mc" file for this they could share?  The FTdx-5000 documentation indicates that the playback is terminated automatically when "ESC" is pressed.

How do I send the "record" commands from N1MM to the FTdx-5000 to record these messages on the fly (CTRL-SHIFT-Fx)?  How is the record command halted (Escape again)?

Thanks and 73,

Mark, KD4D

Do you mean how to run the program as Administrator?  Right click on the N1MM+ Icon on your desktop

or task bar,  and select "run as administrator"

I'm using ver 1.0.6154 of N1MM on a Windows 10 OS.  Recently had to change computers and now...can't get the program/rig to send CW using LPT1.  I receive an error message when I boot up: " LPT port inoperative.  N1MM Logger must be run as administrator for LPT ports to operate.  You will only have to do this once.  Stop & restart N1MM Logger as administrator."

Using COM1 to read freq on the FT1000d and this works OK.  Can anyone help me on the Administrator problem?

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

WJ2C hit the nail on the head,

have you tried a different memory stick?

New memory stick and all is good. Thanks Jim.

Hello OM, Hank!

Try this.  Now that you have the file folder (N1MM Logger+) showing on the memory stick, instead of coping and moving the entire folder from the hard drive, on your hard drive open the N1MM Logger+  folder and select all its contents.  Copy and paste that to the folder on the memory stick. See what happens.

I have done a click and drag and I have done a copy and paste.

Same results both ways. When done and I click on N1MM Logger+ folder on memory stick, the files and folders are there. When I remove and then reinsert memory stick, the N1MM Logger+ folder is there, but empty.

I continue to be baffled.

Re: Program does not create N1MM+ folder in Documents

John Bednar

 Norm,

Follow these instructions.

Rename the program and user Logger+ directories.

Download the FullInstaller and the Latest Update, store on the computer hard disk.

With the computer is connected to the internet, run the FullInstaller, do NOT change the program and user directories this time.

When the FullInstaller completes, look at the exit message. Reboot the computer if instructed to do so.

Run the Latest Update program.

Start the program for the first time. Answer the station and start a new Logger+ database.

Exit the program.

Do not copy the N1MM Logger+.ini file(s) to the new user directory. It is OK to copy the database files when the program is not running.

Hi,

well, subject basically tells all the story.

On my friends computer when doing fresh install, all the folders (UserDefinedContest etc) are in Documents folder, not in Documents\N1MM+ folder as normally.

install.log file attached.

No antivirus software installed on the machine.

Have no ideas what to try to make program install correctly?

Sorry to bring up again this topic :)
Is there a way to know if somebody else is using VMWare Fusion (8.5.x) as well N1MMPlus
with two Keyboards ? Based on my experience this is not working and I hope this could be easily
implemented in the near feature (if feasible).

It works on a physical Windows PC but not under Mac.
