Thanks Larry, that thought occurred to me.

But in my opinion, serial-number cut numbers are an abomination and make copy harder under marginal conditions.

I'll just get up to ten as quickly as I can.

The QTC contest has always functioned with the QSO being recorded first, then the additional “bonus” QTC points are added to the contact. I do not think that should be changed.

The logging of the qso before opening the QTC window was the same in Classic so that part has not changed since Then. I will need some more input of others on this. One of the reasons is that way in case something happens or your system locks up the original QSO is logged and you just need to rework him for QTC or figure it out from the text file logs the logger keeps.

As for the error can you send me your logerror.txt file so I can see what line it is happening on..

doing some on the air testing - RQTC and SQTC seem to work OK.
However, my test partner (DM5TI) and I feel unhappy about the feature that

clears the entry window. We feel this logging should be postponed until the
QTC exchange is complete or cancelled.

Re: Flex Smart SDR and N1MM+ during CQ WW DX SSB

John Bednar

Kent,

Yes.

You have told the program that you always want the second receiver to be On. It’s trying to make the second receiver active by including the necessary commands when the radio frequency changes. This option was Off initially.

If you are only making use of one receiver slice, you could consider switching to SO1V mode and closing the second slice.

Flex specific SO2V information can be found in the Logger+ manual. Use the Entry Window Help menu to open the manual Index. Select Supported Radios, Flex 6000 Series.

GE Steve,

Thanks for the reply.  Well, "595" gets old after 1000 times. ( I can only imagine the SOAB HP guys with big antenna farms saying it 5x that amount.

I was (and am) battling a pretty bad cold the past 2 weeks, so I opted

to send as much as I possibly could by wav file.

What I can't seem to figure out is why only sometimes I had to press the space bar to advance the cursor.

I am going to do some more testing with no radio, radio @ 1w, 50w & 100w to see if it's indeed RF.

Just as few minutes ago I listened to some snippets of my 24 hours of recording and noticed here and there what sounded perhaps like RF getting into Radio 2 even @ 100w levels.  I am not sure about this, but since I noticed it just now it MIGHT be a clue.

As always, I really do appreciate the help.

Frankly, I never use a wav file to send the "five nine four" while
running on SSB. It sounds too disjointed from the callsign. I speak
"VE9AA 594" and press the space bar, which always moves the cursor. Then
I press Enter to log the call and send my "Thanks" wav file.

Re: Creating UDC and .SEC

NA3M Nick

Dany,

Yes, you can make all kinds of .sec files for future UDCs (see examples in C:\Users\{user name}\Documents\N1MM Logger+\SupportFiles). But if you want the logger to get province abbreviation using call area and one letter after it you should use LU-PROVIN.sec (and MultWindowType =LU-PROVIN) because this file name is hardcoded in the logger code.

Subject: [N1MMLoggerplus] Supported Contest

Is this contest "Formally" supported?

Or is there one in the list for a different contest, that would also
