Re: N1mmplus Mult station lock for band changes ?

Hi Fulvio,
Perhaps I have never worked in M/S team in my life, but in M/2 team band changes counter is in Info window, right hand side. Please check it for M/S counter. Single Transmitter (MULTI-ONE): Only one transmitted signal on one band permitted during any 10-minute period (run transmitter). Exception: One — and only one — other transmitted signal (multiplier transmitter) may be used during any 10-minute period, if — and only if — it is on a different band from the run transmitter and the station worked is a new multiplier. The run and multiplier transmitters are governed by independent 10-minute rules. Ten-minute periods begin with the first QSO on a band. The log must indicate which transmitter (run or multiplier) made each QSO. The multiplier transmitter may not call CQ (solicit contacts). If i correctly understand, if we work a multi on a different band with station 2 (Mults) I have to stay there for 10 minutes as per rule (please correct me if i'm wrong) I tested this under N1mmPlus latest version but I can go back/forth from bands without any warning. Am I missing something? Thanks for any suggestion and blame on me if I posted a dumb question :) 73 de HB9DHG Fulvio

Re: FKEY Maros for K3 DVR - Change Message Bank

johnh,
My comments are inserted below. I will be unavailable to respond to additional questions until after the contest.
It is not necessary to send another email if you solve your problem.

Two Macro usage questions: The documentation is correct. There are at least 14 Cat Macro commands. You can not use two or more of the same cat macro command in the same function key. The repeated identical cat macro(s) will not be executed. If you want to send more than one command with a certain cat macro, follow the instructions and place a “\” between radio commands.
What are your asking?
As I read the Logger+ documentation I shouldn't be able to do it the first way with two CAT1ASC commands. You can’t. It’s certainly possible that bank switching doesn’t work exactly as you expect. You can use the K3 utility to send commands to the radio and you can switch to other using two other commands like Rit On (RT1;) and Xit On (XT1;) until you understand how the cat macros work.

N1MM + and Digikeyer II Issue
KB3Z
Well I got it solved. I went into the Audio/Setup menu item and on the playback tab one of the options was headset/earphone 2 microham codec. Once I did that the transceiver keys and I get power output. I also realized that I needed to depress the MONI key on the front of my 990S. So I can hear what I am transmitting. I learned something tonight and thankfully it didn't take me to long to fix my own problem. Mark Griffin, KB3Z

N1MM + and Digikeyer II Issue
KB3Z
Good Evening,
I have recorded wav files and when under run I hit the f4 key for example my TS-990s keys and I can hear my call, but I get no power output. I have also written a posting on the Microham board. Does anyone possibly know how I can solve this issue? Any help would be very much appreciated. Mark Griffin, KB3Z

Re: A 'Do Not Work' list for N1MM+...
Marvin Carpenter
FWIW, there are now some DX clusters out there that are LOTW users only. For others, everyone has there own reasons for what they ask or are seeking. I myself love contesting and rag chewing. I am an LOTW user with close to 1800 contacts submitted with only 95 confirmed countries. I am working on my DXCC 100, so like some have mentioned, there are many out there who don't do LOTW but for a contest it's not really about the contacts as it is about the points. So, I understand where he could be coming from when he asks. Let's be a good community and help if we can instead of downing him because he would prefer to work LOTW contacts only. Again, everyone has their own reasons. Marvin - KL0ET

I am a little gun - 100 watts on a good day, antennas up at 18 feet if the wind stays below 40 mph, and solar charged batteries. But all the contacts I can make (except "message nets - ECCOMMs) are logged and uploaded to both (also most to clublog - when I remember). Only ONE caller I will no longer respond to; a very rude AZ outlaw & I will not give him the publicity of naming him.

Enough already. Take the discussion of LOTW ethics somewhere else.
There will not be a blacklist capability added to the program to avoid working some stations. Tom - N1MM

FKEY Maros for K3 DVR - Change Message Bank
johnh@...
Two Macro usage questions:
1) The Logger+ documentation says you cannot use more than one CAT1ASC command in a macro, but the following works: "CQ,{CAT1ASC SWH37;}{CAT1ASC SWT21;}" where Bank 1 M1 contains a CQ message. It does, of course toggle/switch the K3 Memory Banks. The documentation says you can send more than one command to the radio by separating each command with a "\" or by concatenating the commands. Sure enough, the following works. "AGN?,{CAT1ASC SWH37;\SWT21;} sends the "Again?" DVR message. What's up this this? As I read the Logger+ documentation I shouldn't be able to do it the first way with two CAT1ASC commands. 2) I want to send a DVR message in K3 Bank 2 and then switch back to Bank 1 after I transmit the message. Let's say "Again?" is in Bank 2 Message 1. I want successive clicks of the associated FKEY to send that message each for each successive click. Say, F8 is the "Agn?" key: "AGN?,{CAT1ASC SWH37;}{CAT1ASC SWT21;}" works fine one time with the "Again?" message in Bank 2 Message 1 as long as I was in Bank 1 before pressing F8. The macro leaves the K3 in Bank 2. I want to be able to switch back to Bank 1 at the end of the macro to continue logging the QSO with Bank 1 macros. I've tried "AGN?,{CAT1ASC SWH37;\SWT21;\SWH37;} but it doesn't work. Maybe a timing thing in that I need to wait for SWT21; to finish transmitting before doing the SWH37; Bank swap. I don't see a way to delay/wait after the SWT21; if that's the case. Anyone see the problem here or offer a suggestion how to accomplish this esily? Thanks.

Re: A 'Do Not Work' list for N1MM+...
I work everyone in contests. Good guys, bad guys, my competition, the big guys, the little guys, the guys I have to walk through the exchange, the guy who sends to me @ 10wpm or 55wpm...doesn't matter. (Isn't that why most of us contest?) If I need to create a blacklist (call it what it is) I would scribble it on a piece of paper. I have great respect for K9YC, his contribution to ham radio knowledge, but that behaviour by him and the WA4 seems kind of foreign to me (working only LOTW users). I don't get it. de VE9AA, Mike.....a non LOTW user. (had many troubles trying to get the ARRL to sign me up some years back , so in frustration I eventually gave up!...not w/o trying for weeks if no months to jump through all the hoops) (maybe it's easier these days?) I realize this is straying off topic, so this will be my only post on this subject here. Thanks for the bandwidth.

Re: A 'Do Not Work' list for N1MM+...

Jim,
I guess this is getting off topic, but I am really sad to hear that. I'm a little gun myself, perhaps almost medium now and I assure you that lots of us try hard to get the logs on LOTW. But, of course your mileage may vary and I'm sorry you've been so often dissapointed. You are certainly a well recognized call with some nice scores, as well as all your RFI service! You are certainly (pin?) #1 in my book! Why someone would not take the small trouble of loading to LOTW, I just don't get. But, I am not sure I see it as an obligation either, and I think few of us would want to help with what is essentially a punitive measure. 73, Drew K3PA ---In N1MMLoggerplus@..., <k9yc@...> wrote : Then you don't understand the motivation of many of the little pistols that fill the logs of the big guns. Yes Götz - I was informed from DM5TI and tried to sent QTCs to DX as EU Station - and it do not work.
Last year it works perfect and during the whole changes in the QTC traffic something must be changed, what is not seen until today starting the test for upcoming WAE RTTY. Therefore Gerd: check it for yourself - it do not work. Peter
