Strange RTTY Problem
Herbert Schoenbohm
I think I am going to need some real help on this one.
I type RTTY into the command window and RTTY mode come up. When I click f4 (send call) the RTTY carrier comes up but it takes about 4 seconds of mashing the F4 to send the call and the TX will not unkey until I hit the ESC key. I have removed and reloaded and reconfigured MMTY without any change to this condition. I have followed the setup instructions for RTTY and it has always been easy but something is wrong somewhere. Can you help me? Herb Schoenbohm, KV4FZ

Hi Salvo,
I've just installed the new program version, followed the steps indicated and, as promised by Rick: the macro {File:xxxx} works fine now on my computer. Many thanks to Rick and all others who worked on the solution of the macro problem! 73, Ruud, PG1R.

You might try another
cluster node and see if you get the same result - I am getting a
connection error (but not a run-time error) when I try to connect
to the node your
computer reported as causing the error. W9PA seems to be
quite reliable as a test.

Re: Save window positions
DL7VOG
Hello,
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
do you mean to save the windows size and position for the next start of N1MMLogger+? If so you may use "Tools" > save windows position. If you then close Logger+ and reopen it and the windows are a bit "mixed" or of different size you can "resize" them with "Tools" > Restore windows position. It happens to me now and then that the windows - especially the Digital Interface window - is smaller when I reopen the programm after I have changed to another programm and go back to N1MMLogger+. Usually "Restore windows position" resizes all windows to normal. 73 de Gerd / DL7VOG www.dl7vog.de www.qslnet.de/hk0gu www.qslnet.de/c6aka www.qslnet.de/zf2gu Am 06.10.2015 um 15:45 schrieb 'Larry

I did not respond because I do not understand your question.
Most (but not all) windows in N1MM have adjustable size. Change the size by
grabbing a corner with your mouse and moving. To freeze the size don’t
do that.

Re: DIGITAL MACRO {FILE:xxxx}
Hi Ruud.
Better as Rick wrote to wait until the next version. As him had already taken care of that behavior. After that we could drill down onto UR issue. BTW forget about ENTERLF, its my way to start quite any macro and it doesn't have any effect withe the FILE: statement. It just add a CR and a LF on top of the on air TXed string. I am a paper roll eater :-( CUL 73 de iw1ayd Salvo

Re: CQP Mult glitch
Hmm. I think what happened is this: First, I worked a VE1, MM filled in MAR and the VE1 sent MAR. I logged it and MM counted it as a mult. Later, I worked someone else, possibly a VO1, who sent the CQP-approved abbreviation MR. I typed MR over MAR and logged it. MM counted it as another mult. When I realized I had more mults credited than worked, I found MAR and edited it to MR. MM reduced the mult count by one and all was well. With all due respect, I don't think this is the right way to handle alternative mult abbreviations. Unless there is something I don't understand, they should be synonyms, not separate mults. 73, /Rick

Re: CQP Mult glitch
John Bednar
Rick,
The code changes MR (and several other exchanges) to MAR before logging. As delivered, the program will not log a QSO with the exchange of MR.
If you edited a logged QSO exchange and added a unique exchange string, the count of unique mults will be greater.

MM+ counted MR and MAR as separate mults. Several Maritimers were sending MAR which isn't an official mult but should be a synonym.

Thanks for that explanation. I guess this is one of the new features of the recent update of N1MM. I have been merging my contest log (I do keep adif copy of the individual log) into my main log for years. Anyway I've found an unpopular solution to my problem. I reinstalled an older version of 'update' and that pretty much took care of it... 73 9W6EZ/Jimmy
