Andi, what do you mean by "the antenna switching is not defined on the radio"?  What hardware are you switching with the LPT port?  Do you have one LPT port per radio?

I test it on two different systems all WIN7, on booth systems the antenna switching is not defined on the radio.  It makes no difference what I set in the Radio Nr. Field for LPT. If I switch a QRG on any radio the antenna switch, but I only need to switch on one Radio. Have no one else this problem?

Re: Logging DX in NA Sprint

I saw the same thing, Art.  I worked a KH6 and N1MM defaulted to “KH6” as the s/p/c.  Of course it is non-North America so only the QSO points are valid.  I was quite surprised that it would not log its own default exchange J.  Surely it is a bug.  I forced it to accept “DX” so don’t know what the sponsor will do with that.  We’ll see.

As for your second issue, I’ll have to do some testing.

Thanks for the Sprint QSO’s.  That was a tough one.

Subject: [N1MMLoggerplus] Logging DX in NA Sprint

How can you log a DX contact in the Sprint? Rules allow DX contacts for QSO points. I made 2 - a KH6 and a DL. Could not get either logged using the force log technique of ALT-ENTER. Had to lie about sections and correct on the cabrillo file.

Also noticed some problem when starting a CQ on second radio while entering the info from the current QSO in Enter window. If I was entering the serial number for the contact, the first digit would not be entered. Example: Copied #84, but the 8 would not be entered, only the 4 would be entered.

I had the same problem, had to force the log. This morning, N1MM generated an error report when I generated the Cabrillo, and put a blank line in the Cabrillo where that QSO should have been.

Grid Squares Feature Request

Philip Theis

The grid square form is very helpful
I'm in the Sept VHF now and with eleven bands across the top and with the grid coordinate very long it is hard to follow all the way down the page.
It would be helpful to have some kind of graticule marking vertically or to repeat the bands across the bottom. Perhaps also alternating a shade on the bands.
Thanks,

There is a bug as you have found. I started looking at this 2 weeks ago but have not had time to go back to work on it.

Yes, that is true.  But in some cases, such as when I have one QTC left that N1MM does not want to send, it comes up with the QTC RX window, but no QTC header window for me to acknowledge.

The RED QTC information line in the log window will tell you you have one QTC available but entering CTRL-Z with any call you previously worked you will not be able to generate one QTC.

Friends,

I suspect this is some misunderstanding of mine, but...

I notice in WAE that I have QTCs left..., for example, 0 sent/3 left to exch/3 total QTC available, but if I enter a station (who I have not sent 10 to yet) and CTRL-Z, the QTC screen does not come up and the QSO is wiped. Why are my 3 not available. (Yes, I know that one or more could be with that same station, but that is not the case...) I have seen this a lot when I only have 1, 2 or 3 QTCs available.

I click on a spot for UA7K, which puts his call in EW above callsign field.
At this point, the red qtc line sez QTCs: 0 sent/10 left to exch/11 total QTCs avail

Then I hit spacebar which puts UA7K in callsign field, now red qtc line sez
QTCs: 0 sent/9 left to exch/9 total QTCs avail

No previous qtcs had been issued to UA7K

VE9AA - Mike

I am not playing in the WAE SSB portion, but I am relaying this once again in case it's relative to the topic.

In WAE CW I had my F3 macro as {log} TU VE9AA

APPARENTLY (I say apparently as nobody has come right out and told me, it's only been what I surmised) that you cannot have the log function in your F3 key for your macro in WAE, cuz what it did was log a single station twice in the QTC's (usually at the tail end of the list)so if a station came back later on the contest and he himself knew I had 1 or 2 QTC's I could send him, I was sunk. as there were stations appearing in the QTC's twice ! (so iow it used up a good QTC with a duplicate, preventing me from sending that EU the balance of QTC's

Maybe this does not relate at all to the # of QTC's thing that is currently going on with WAE SSB.

I have since changed all my macros to conform to the "norm" (even though I enjoyed them for 70,000+ QSO's in 350 contests and am trying to learn ESM now too.

GL !...I am sure condx are trying this w/e.

RFCDIGI SRR-CUP-DIGI notes

Goetz DJ3IW

Hello to the N1MM+ crew.
I made a couple of QSOs in the RFCDIGI (N1MM* designation), SRR-CUP-DIGI as
called by the organizers.
The rules at URL:
http://ua9qcq.com/en/contestinfo.php?lang=en&;t_id=56&mo=9&Year=2014

specify for Cabrillo:
CONTEST: SRR-CUP-DIGI and
CATEGORY-MODE: DIGI

N1MM+ does not use these. Please adjust the Cabrillo template accordingly.

Further the required exchange is serial number and four-figure QTH locator.
The rules suggest these to be sent as: 001LP48 (example).
Most stations sent it this way. However, N1MM+ has two separate entry fields
for ser# and locator. I could not find a way to click this concatenation
into the entry fields but rather had to type both in. In a 75bd contest this
really slows you down and makes your QSO partners impatient. Any improvement
possible?

Re: QTCs listed but unavailable

I can confirm that Logger is not sending all available QTCs.  I had 13 QTCs available to send.  DF0HQ was one of them, so make that 12 available if I were to be sending to DF0HQ, which I did.  It would only send 9.

I placed the blank space. Here,s the message.

I do not have "use voice messages" checked on the send qtc window.

QTCs Unavailable

Dennis W1UE

I have noticed the same problem here.  I don't have the entire scenario worked out, but here is what I've noticed.

SO2R, Win7 64 bit, N1MM+ 5165, SO2R setup.  There are QTC messages, one in each EW.  If I'm working in the left EW, the QTC message updates as I make Qs, but the QTC message in the right QTC doesn't update.  If I switch to the right EW, the message is now updated starting with whatever was in the right EW message, and not the updated (left) message.  The counts get out of sync.  When I go to send QTCs, the program uses whatever is in the QTC message for that window at that time.  After I send QTCs, the QTC message is updated, but only for the EW that the QTCs were sent out of.

I have also had the case where the program said 7 QTCs were available for a station that I had not sent any prior QTCs, so I sent them.  I then said I wanted to send more QTCs to that station, and I got to send 3 more without making any more Qs.

Overall, the QTC program seems to be working as far as the data and keeping track of how many have been sent to a particular station, but when you go to send them it doesn't always give you the correct amount.
