Yuo can buy a USB to VGA adapter and plug a monitor into it, to get around the zapped VGA port.

Thanks for the ideas!   Moving or losing the taskbar didn't work - still not enough room.  The drop down box to change from portrait to landscape is grayed out so I can't do that either!

Bill, I have the same difficulty with a Gateway LT4004u netbook that runs Win 7.?? Only thing I found that would allow me to see the bottom of the Config Window is to rotate the screen so that it is in "Portrait" mode, make the changes in the Config Window and hit the OK button, then rotate back to "Landscape" mode.?? You can access the "Portrait-Landscape" mode with a right click on the desktop and choose "Graphics Properties."??

600 pixels is not very much height for the display. One thing you can do is move the Windows Task Bar from the bottom of the display to the left or right side. You can right-click on the Task Bar and select Taskbar Settings, then set the "Taskbar location on screen" to Left or Right. Or, you could leave the taskbar where it is but set it to "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode". Either of those would give you a few more pixels of available height on the desktop, which might help.

this looks suspiciously like you are
not specifying the PORT correctly ...

one of the reasons I suggest VE7CC to
newbies is because it does not use a special
port setting, or any other special settings ...

thus ... if you can connect to VE7CC then
your telnet is working correctly and it
is some other setting that is not ... most
likely the PORT setting ... did you notice
that some of the URL addresses have :7373
or colon with some other number? that is the
port number ... it is like telling someone which
door to enter the building.

Two pro tips:

1. Telnet not Telenet.

2. On AR-Cluster "set/dx filter not skimmer" will turn off skimmer spots.  Do this for phone contests.  It lessens load on your computer and on the cluster server.
