Re: ARRL VHF Contest

Follow this setup instruction for the IC-7300 radio codec.

https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/n1mmwpfiles/Download/Additional%20Support%20Files/IcomUSBCodecInstructions.pdf

You can use the IC7300 radio codec for on the fly recording and playback of contest voice messages.

In the process you will end up with “PTT via Radio Command checked for Digital Mode” and Logger+ Audio “Internal Radio Codec” checked. This will cause the modulator input in the radio to be switched before/after each digital transmission.

Yes. In the Contest Setup, set the Mode Category to SSB+CW+DIGITAL. Use USB-D with the audio from the USB Audio Codec for digital contacts, and USB or FM with the microphone for voice contacts. You can change modes simply by typing the mode into the call sign box and pressing Enter.

If participating in the ARRL VHF contest will N1MM work to log both Digital contacts made through WSJT-X as well as any voice contacts made during the contest?  I will be using an ICOM IC-7300 for the contest.
