1. Have you used ahk2exe in the past (e.g. compiled an AHK script into an exe)? That's what created the issue for me.

2. Did you move or uninstall/reinstall AHK? If you only moved it, try copying it back to "C:\Program Files\AutoHotKey" and see if the test build works for you then.

And I have had 65 bit loaded since Win 8.1, and am still using 64 bit.

Tom....

After putting the AHK program files in C:\AutoHotKey folder, the *.ahk script worked correct...no errors.

I just downloaded your Experimental 5295, loaded it into NL+ and with it, my *.ahk script does NOT work. Reloading the original 5295 and my *.ahk script work correct again.

I posted a fix for the AHK issue with 64 bit. I think the issue is that one has installed it as 32 bit and then installed a 64 bit version as well.

Let me know if this fixes it.

It is labeled W4BQF & N1EN.

Michael,

I did not see a response from this, but maybe Steve emailed you direct.

I am NOT a computer guru, however based on my experience, if you allow
the AHK installer to install AHK for you, it will put the program in
your Win 10 C:\Program Files directory and that will not work? On my
Win 10 PC, I had AHK loaded in both the C:\Program Files directory and
in the C:\Program Files (x86) directory and I could not get Steve's
update to work. It was only after I forced the AHK installer to
install AHK in my C:\AutoHotKey directory that I could get the *.ahk
script to work correct.

Hope this is helpful!

Correction:

I have the error on one of my Win10 machines with the latest build.
It’s working fine on a different machine.

The machine where it does NOT work has AHK 1.1.22.03 installed.

The machine where it DOES work has AHK 1.1.09.04 installed.

Both AHK’s are the x64 versions. Both were installed via installer.
Both are installed into C:\Program Files\AutoHotKey (not \Program
Files (x86)\)

The registry entries under HKLM\SOFTWARE\AutoHotKey are the same on
both machines but-for the version number.

I installed AHK via their installer (lives in “C:\Program
Files\AutoHotkey”, not “C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoHotkey”…running
AHKx64) once upon a time, and I still have the error under the latest
build on my Win10 machine.
