JOTA this weekend
G8JBJ John
Hi all, Just to say that Sue and I will be operating GB2SBS (Scottish Borders Scouts) for Earlston Scouts this weekend. Will be done linking GoToMeeting (like Zoom) to the HF rig. Chaos is likely! QRV on 80 and 40 and maybe 20 to enable Scouts to complete their International CHallenge. 73s, John, GM8JBJ

Notice of Variation.
Mike Mundy
All Notices of Variation for the temporary 146 to 147MHz band expire on 31 October. Ofcom has agreed to make the frequencies available for a further year. To take advantage of this band, you will need to apply online for a new Notice of Variation even if you have held one before. Go to www.rsgb.org/nov and select the 146 and 147MHz NoV link. The NoV is issued free and is available to all UK Full licence holders. As a reminder, the band is intended for technical and experimental work. It should not be used for modes or operations that normally take place in the 144 to 146MHz band.

Duplicate groups.io groups?
You guys are aware that I set up a groups.io group for MSARS members back in May and notified everyone via the old email system?
I didn't even get an invite to join this group! Probably because the old email system didn't work, right? Oh well. I tried! LOL Berni M0XYF

Mid Sussex Amateur Radio Society Email Groups
I thought we were all supposed to be using the io group that Berni went to a lot of trouble setting up ages ago.
Maybe I have it wrong but there should only be one email group. Can I request that the two group administrators liaise and sort it out. Many thanks Confused Merv M0WVE

Mid Sussex Amateur Radio Groups
So we now have two Io groups on the go
msarsmembers@groups.io and Msars@groups. I guess we must now post our emails to both groups until it is decided which one is to be deleted? Still a confused Merv - M0WVE
