Raptors moving around

Tim Bray

In the last couple of days I have seen a first-of-fall Cooper’s Hawk (surprisingly an adult) and a juvenile Northern Harrier. We also had a Sharp-shinned a few days ago. Post-breeding dispersal is under way.

This is in addition to the regular Red-tails, Osprey and Bald Eagle we have had all summer.
