Brown Shrike in the A.M.

Howdy Fellow Obsessives,

Three of us viewed the BROWN SHRIKE late this morning in the trees just above the pasture to the east and slightly south of the overlook. We were surprised to find it so quickly as it's been mostly seen in the P.M. The bird is quite a distance from the overlook, hence the prior suggestions to bring a scope, but the shrike is actually visible to the naked eye and certainly through bins for initially checking out the area. The bird's throat and belly are fairly light and show up reasonably well. (For directions, see posts from past few days).

Bird on!
