Mode selection #Bug #FSK441 #FT8

Hi all
When using MSHV in FFK144 I cannot change the mode say to FT8 unless I place MSHV into TX. I have to wait until the rig starts TX'ing then I can change the mode. Tried this with my Icom 7300 and FT897D. Your thoughts please Regards ZS2PA |

For me it is not possible to switch from MSK144 to some other modes without to first Stop Monitor. In this case MODE is grayed out too. So try this: Stop Monitor - Change mode - Start Monitor. Good luck, SM5EPC Anders Den fre 28 sep. 2018 kl 08:54 skrev Andrew, ZS2PA <pride01@...>: Hi all |

Try - when Rxing set the Monitor button to off then try changing modes (then put monitor back on)? It might be something to stop a decode on one band being outputted on another if you quickly change bands. Dave G0CER On Fri, 28 Sep 2018 at 09:20, Anders, SM5EPC <sm5epc@...> wrote:

Hello,
same observation here. Sometimes it takes quite some time to change modes - in particulat to or from MSK/FSK. Changing modes from FT8 usually on the spot. I assume that once a decoding process has started it will be completed before a mode change is possible. Once you are aware, ist not a real problem. 73, DF5VAE PS: still hope to find one day an OMNI-Rig set-up option in MSHV - that would help many users. |
